    I came upon this idea last night. We all know Pacquiao is nearing retirement, and I came up with this idea of him fighting Martinez for his last fight at catch weight of 152 lbs without any title on the line. Martinez said he can fight at 154 and Pacquiao can only fight at 150 max, so why not meet in between. I would love for the Pacman to go out fighting the best even if he loses, at least he tried. Can this happen? What do you guys think.

    Pacquiao-Martinez @ 160 for me (no catchweights). A chance for Pac's 9th weight division title. If he wins, of course haters will just say it's really good PEDs. It's the correct butthurt thing to say.

    belowe 154->
    154-> toss up
    above 154-> sergio

    Would be my ideal scenario: marquez-floyd- martinez

    win 2/3 and your even more legendary.

    :patsch

    And after Martinez, is it okay for Pac to go after his 10th Division title and fight Ward @168? :lol:

    Pac can barely make 150lbs what makes you think he can fight at MW? Martinez said that the lowest he would go is 154lbs. So no, this fight can't be made! I would love to see it, don't get me wrong but I see no point if either Martinez is going to be drained or Pac is going to be to small (weight wise on fight night) compared to Martinez.

    I see Martinez being drained @ 154 anyway, so this fight aint happening. Above 156, Pac gets severe brain damage, lol.

    Pac is virtually unbeatable in his current state!!

    I would bet on him to beat both Ward and Martinez possibly by knockout!!

    I say he goes for the winner of ortiz - floyd to complete his clean up of the welterweights and then have an all or nothing fight up at middleweight against martinez. A victory puts him top 5 and a loss puts him top 15.

    Arguably 3 victories away from true elite lever greatness, exciting times for boxing.

    Ofcourse the same with floyd, if he beats ortiz, pac and then martinez.

    Plus wlad smashing his way to heavyweight greatness and the soon to be crowned s6 champ cementing supermiddle weight greatness.

    We're in quite a good era all things considered.

    @ 152:
    martinez comes in and still weighs 165+ on fight night
    pacquiao weighs in at 147-148 and MAYBE hits 150 by the fight

    still a huge difference in size (especially considering pac is a better fit at jrww than ww). how many lbs should he give up for it to be considered 'fair'? 15? 20? 30?

    I doubt Martinez could make 154 comfortably right now . Hes a full fledged 160 pounder .
