I was just listening to Talksport in the car about 20 mins ago and heard Chisora speaking about Haye vs Klitschko.

The presenter went on to mention Dereck's own bout with Wladimir and asked if he was confident he'd have knocked Klitschko out and he replied,

" i'd bob and weave break up his body and would have stopped him in the late rounds"

he really can't be serious about him being able to stop Wladimir.

    CAN HE?

I still think Chisora could have a decent chance against Wlad (maybe more so than Haye even).

He still needs more experience himself though and a fight with Tyson Fury is perfect. If he can stop Fury, then he shouldn't be too long off fighting for the world championship himself.

Chisora should do the following over the next 12-18 months:
    - Dismantle Fury as i expect him to, inside 8 rounds.
    - Fight David Price next, box smart to a 12 round UD win.
    - Step up, fight Dimitrenko for Euro HW, hopefully box to another UD win.
(if Dimitrenko not available, take on an easier fighter, someone like Audley if he's still 'fighting').
    - Then Wlad, who will have either way retained or regained his titles.

This is all very do-able, all against opponents who are 6"5+ which would give him good experience fighting bigger men to tune up to Wlad. He would just have to win all the proposed fights, seems fairly straightforward imo.

It was only Talksport, he could have told them he was fighting Carl Froch next, they wouldn't have known any different.

 Ok maybe was a bit too much.

Not right now but in 2 or 3 years time I do think Chisora could be more than a threat.

Haye, Arreola, Solis and Chisora are the biggest threats stylistically for Wladimir Klitschko IMO.

What did you expect him to say? Something like " I'm going to get knocked the ****ed out but on the bright side I'm going to collect at least £100'000 in the process."

Chisora is British level. If he wins a European it will be because there is a weak champion or vacant title and he will only hold onto it until a genuine European level fighter takes him out.

****** accepted the fight because he knows this himself. He was cashing in early and he also knows putting "Former World Title Challanger" has a nice ring to it for the rest of Chisora's career.
