Anything effective. May I make clear the word effective. I'd say Hopkins, Harold Johnson, John Conteh the real textbook technicians who can adapt the fundamentals and be supreme technicians. Are my ultimate favrouites.
Good old boxer puncher. Can't beat skills and power, but not ridiculous power to the extent it clouds their thinking.
Don't really have a favourite style in that I can see the 'beauty' in all styles even the old punch, wrestle and grab, as they're all dependent on an individuals personal attributes. No point a china chined person adopting a face first poor defence approach. But if I was compelled to choose one style which I have seen executed to an amazing artistic level. It would be Mayweather proponent of the sweet science, pure boxer, that has the ability to do it all if he wanted. He's also proved he's adept at fighting inside like he showed against hatton. And how can not anyone see the artistry in Prime James Toney, some of that stuff is just too damn slick. Now that's what you (or the General Forum) would call a true Slick African American. So overall if I forced to choose one style over the others, it would be artistry, and from my memory of recent fighters I would choose Sweetpea, Lights Out and Money as the best examples of that Pure boxing counter punching, hit and not be hit, artistic style.
Smooth, stylish fighters like Conteh,Kalambay and Rose. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQTuJv2skEg&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL[/ame]
Agree with Calderon the way he boxes is so beautiful. I like fighter like Gamboas style the most aggresive fighters who always go for the kill. Also Hopkins and Mayweahter how they're always two steps ahead of there opponent. I like Klitscho how he uses his advantages so like his style too.
