I like them both. Wlad for his better boxing skill, resume and harder punches and Vitali for his toughness and general bad ass attitude.
Arguably better resume. Vitali has wins over Sanders, Arreola and knockout over Peter before he was shot. Wlad has some good wins too but also three really bad losses.
I dont really see how you can even bring Vitali's resume into this discussion seriously. Wlad has way better competition. Actually head and shoulders ahead of Vitali in terms of resume.
IMO they both make a case for a superheavyweight division at this point. Vitali, even at 250 lbs, is SO much ****ing bigger than everyone he faces. The only person I've seen even trouble Vitali lately was Solis and he blew out his knee. Vitali is a badass, but I think Wlad's style is more pleasing from a boxing standpoint. He just does everything right. Vitali does lots of things "wrong" but gets away with it because he's so big and has good reflexes.
Would you like to defend your point and keep in mind Wlad's losses and how he lost? The Russian guys Wlad's fought are crap; Ray Austin - Pathetic Crap, Fast Eddie - fast crap, Rahman - old crap. Vitali destroyed Arreola, Peter, and Williams while each of them was still at their peak albeit crappy peaks.
Vitali is basically unbeatable in my book. Too awkward, too powerful, too tall. Just lok at how he danced circles around Arreola. He is the best there is at heavyweight. And arguably hasn't lost a sinle round since hus fight with Lennox Lewis.
Vitali baby. He is very awkward that knows how to fight tall, intimidating and exciting. Wlad on the other hand looks robotic and boring.
Guys on Wlad's resume better than anyone Vitali has ever beaten. 1. Byrd x2 a guy who beat vitali and a top 60 atg heavy (on my list) Lennox ducked a prime Byrd. 2. Calvin Brock 3. Chagaev the rightful WBA champ when Wlad beat him. 4. Lamon Brewster 5. Tony Thompson 6. Sultan Ibragimov 7. Chambers Honorable mention (Povetkin duck) Guys arguably better or on the level than anyone Vitali has beaten. 1. Ray Mercer 2. Touch of Sleep 3. Big Time Mcline
