Tyson:" Haye does not hit hard enough to get the respect of Wladimir Klitschko"

Was over at Bild.de. They said Helenius sparred 30 rounds with Haye. He said while Haye punches hard, he didn't feel overly impressed by his punching power. He was more impressed with speed and accuracy though.

Hard to judge this though. For all we know Helenius could have good punch resistance, haven't him seen tested in the ring yet.

 

People have built Haye up into this murderous puncher based on what exactly? He is a good puncher, very fast, sharp and accurate and a good puncher, but now all of a sudden hes up there with Foreman, Tyson etc. He's NOT!!
4 or 5 fights ago he was a cruiserweight, and he beat up a washed up Ruiz, a never was in Harrison(who got 1 punched by Mike Sprott!!), and used his REAL strength, his quickness and agilty to hit and move at speed on Valuev.

All this hardest puncher alive talk from camp Haye is smoke and mirrors. Theres a reason they were so happy to agree to a huge ring..........hit and move.

Im guessing James Toney must hit like Shavers, as he smashed up Iron chinned Holyfield:nut

Haye will throw few punches, he will move a lot, and try to get in and away again. He can hurt Wlad, but he wont 1 punch him thats for sure.

David Haye's best punching power @ 100% is only 20-30% of Mike Tyson.

 

Anybody who think's Haye has 1punch KO power is delusional.

He'd have to hit Wlad with 3 or 4 clean punches one after the over to send Wlad over...

I'd say Sam Peter hit harder than Haye, and he had Wlad down 3 time's but couldn't finish him, it's amusing what Haye lover's will cling onto hoping for a win

 

Haye has enough power to KO Wlad let alone get his respect. If people like Mayweather & Ward hit hard enough to get respect then Haye definitely does.

 

All depends, does Haye hit harder than Lamon Brewster, Corrie Sanders or Ross Puritty?

 

Haye hits hard enough to get anybodies respect in the HW division. As i said earlier, he is a combination puncher that needs a few punches to KO someone, and with Wlad, that should be enough. But Mr Tyson, it's more the question can Haye hit Wlad with those punches....Punching power is useless if you can't actually get to your opponent.....

 

One of those arguments that only works when you agree with someone, that is. Say another former HW champion said the exact opposite, would it then be canceled out? Former HW champion George Foreman said there was no doubt Lennox Lewis was the greatest heavyweight ever after the Tyson fight (of all fights). Do you agree? If not, do you know better than him? Who the **** are you to disagree with George Foreman? ...See that's just not much of an argument.

 

How many times has Valuev been ko'd in his career? Let's not forget Haye badly damaged his main weapon, the right hand, in the second round.
As for Harrison and Ruiz, had they been allowed to continue they would have been ko'd clean, the ref saved them from that fate.

Maybe he doesn't have great power or doesn't carry it for later rounds. But if he lands Wlad has got enough to send Wlad down. As both guys chins have been tested. If haye wins it will have to be early. But I think Wlad will win. He will use that Jab well and will take it to the later rounds where Haye won't do much.

 

i can disagree, but i can't call it bull****, or that foreman is on drugs or something... i guess we're gonna see pretty soon if tyson was right.

 

When we are talking about hitting power,i think there is no doubt that Haye can knock out ANY heavyweight,if he land it on the chin.Because he hit with his whole body behind.
His jab might not be the hardest,but when he puts his weight behind his punch,he will be able to hurt or knock down anybody in the division.
Wlad has a stiff hard jab and a great right hand,but i don´t think he use it enough,in some of his previus fights.They are both powerfull enough to Knock out eachother out,if they can land.... They are both difficult to hit with KO punch,but in this fight it will happen im sure :ko
