Before the fight insisted Haye had to fight for the centre of the ring and go full out attack. During the fight it was shown that it was just impossible to do that, Haye had come up against a fast solid jab which had a big reach and size advantage, Vlads reach advantage ****ed Haye right up. He was never EVER guna be able to control from the centre against a multiple worldchampion with all those advantages. Then after the fight McGuigan continued to insist Haye should of done that. You cant do everything you wana do in fight because sometimes the statistics are against you. Could Barry not see this? Yeah i agree Haye HAD to be more aggresive than he was, you cant allow yourself to keep losing rounds relying on 1 knockout punch oppertunity to come along, especially if your having problems placing your feet in a position to generate power. Reminds me of Prince Naseem Hamed, he never really looked to win rounds on some solid work rate he was just looking for knockout punch after knockout punch and thats why Barrera beat him, he just plodded on picking up the points while Hamed was tryin to be a flashy twat.
Haye could of landed the lab 100 more times than he did, he didnt throw it. Yet, he had a reach advantage and when he did use the jab it clearly bothered wlad. haye was way too one dimensional I think haye should have used the jab so much more came in behind it and it would have troubled wlad.
Barry McGuigan is an absolute joke! I hate most of the so called experts on Sky Sports but he is the worst by a landslide. Have to say Jim Watt is starting to grow on me.
Jim Watt was the best last night, especially when he said wtf is Haye doing, in so many words... both fighters failed to deliver though.
Tyson stated Haye should avoid the Klitschkos and hes not good enough for them. Ah Davey, if only you listened. Who cares, Hayes laughing all the way to the ****ing bank $$$
We all know what Haye needed to do, at times it looked possible but he simply never took the chances open to him, fighters don't do that, you have to give it 100% and commit yourself to every punch if you want the win, otherwise whats the point? Apart from making millions of pounds, of course. I think I just answered my own question.
