It is ludicrous to suggest Klitschko would have taken the bombs Mavrovic did.

Terrible comparison to compare what Lewis did with Mavrovic to what happened last night.

Wlad only landed 134 punches, which 105 were jabs. Lewis landed close to a hundred punches more averaging 18 punches a round compared to Wlad meagre 11 punches a round.

Agree. Lennox could fight inside if he had to.

    Wlad is better than Mavrovic.

Lewis isn't the great unbeatable heavyweight he's made out to be these days.

Many of the same things said about Wlad they were saying about Lewis back then.

Wlad v Lewis would be far more competitive fight than some people think. Wlad's technique is better; more consistent. Lewis got sloppy/lazy at times. But, Lewis had a far more varied arsenal, and could adapt mid-fight much better than Wlad - who can't adapt at all. I think Lewis would figure Wlad out, but who knows. Wlad's footwork is much better. He might have been able to keep away from Lewis and get a win. We'll never know.

I think Wlad had the jab and the footwork to do quite well plus the power to catch Lewis attention

    Lewis was very dangerous however

Lewis would probably have stopped Wlad in 1 or 2 rounds much like he did to Andrew Golota, Razor Ruddock and Michael Grant.

Perhaps Wlad could have lasted longer, because he fights very conservative and defensive. Lewis and Wlad both fight like chess players. Lewis may have taken his time - no need to rush.

But I can't see anything other than Lewis by stoppage. Similar fighters, but Lewis was a warrior.

Another bitching thread, but I'm inclined to agree with this. Wlad would probably be ahead on points, but Lewis would get to him early.

His chin wasn`t better than Mavrovics and that`s the rub.

How ironic, neither was Lewis' chin...

Lewis was only down twice in his career and on one of those occasions got back up only to have the fight waved off by one of Dons pals.
