Apparently Wladimir is the Undisputed Champ... Question is, Who Killed Vitali?

Old rules dont always apply now, for me 4/4 makes you undisputed, it doenst really matter its basically a given that wlad will become undisputed in 1-3 years.

 

Vitali retired, Wlad became #1 and now Vitali is ducking him..

 

Politics don't really effect things to me. He beat his 3rd beltholder in chag so I classed him as undisputed since then.

 

Seriously though, Undisputed doesn't have much meaning if you are missing one of the three major belts and the guy who has it is undoubtedly the most threatening fighter. Obviously its his brother, but thats their problem, Haye certainly wouldn't have been undisputed champ if he had won thats for sure.

 

Seriously though,isnt it pretty remarkable that you hve 2 bros,who have between them pretty much beaten every semi decent challanger in the past decade.

Their combined record is incredibly impressive!

In a perfect world Vitali would retire on a high note after beating Adamek. The WBC would then have their next highest contenders fight for the vacant belt and Wlad would challenge the winner for complete unification.

I appreciate what the bros have accomplished but at this point Vitali is standing in the way of history being made. It's nearly impossible to unify all the belts and Wladimir is very close to doing so.

I also agree that Wlad has been THE Heavyweight Champion since he beat Chagaev and added the ring magazine belt to the collection.

 

Wlad isn't undisputed and will never be until Vitali retires and he wins the WBC belt in the ring.

Personally I have always rated Vitali higher, always thought Wlad was over rated and too amateurish in his early career. Even now I think a past prime Vitali would beat his younger brother if they ever actually fought.

How about lewis? He might have beaten akinwade but the fight wasn't sanctioned by wbo so was he not undisputed?

Are we to use this definition and make the conclusion that leon spinks was the last undisputed champion?

 

What if Vitali said, "My brother is better than me - I don't dispute the fact that he is the undisputed heavyweight champion". Does that mean anything?
