Haye was poor, he never threw more than 2 punches in a row and the few times he connected with a big punch he did not follow up at all.

Wlad was punch perfect - he was hurt a few times but pretty much dominated.

Wlad was so close to Haye, yet he was scared to let go of punches in bunches for fear of punches coming back. Wlad could've made the job a lot easier with a body attack.

I think American fight critics kinda have it right. Those Euro boxers......black or white......doesn't matter......lack an inside, break you down type of style which makes for a lot of boring fights.

I want a true hvw title fight with two legit heavies. Could Haye have fought like Holyfield at times yesterday, of course. Could Wlad have thrown way more body punches last night, of course. I got tired of that push down **** that Wlad seemed to be trained to do when they were in close.

The American Steward trained both Lewis and Wlad to do that.

In the Brewster fight was the first time I saw that Wlad was learning to clinch.. It was something he needed to learn to do.

Then again I was watching him from the time he turned pro...and getting German TV time for 6-8 round fights.

Ali was The ATG at clinching and leaning on a fighter in most fighters Ali fought were smaller than him.
Second best was Lenox and thrid is Wlad.

Who cares about the talk? The problem is that he's getting murdered on the scorecards and refuses to do change anything to try to change that.

Both of them employed boring, safe tactics which you can't condemn too much. For one of them it was working for the other it wasn't. That's the big difference.

Your opinion should include the obvious fact that both Haye and Vlad are prime candidates for Joe Louis's past "Bum Of The Month" club.

Except in David's case at HW it is the "Bum of the Year Club"

If Haye fought like Holyfield he would get KOed mid rounds. Haye did everything right to avoid a KO, no more no less.

What's the proportion of big fights living the hype? 25% at the most?

PPV is a ridiculous concept in boxing because we never know when a fight will be exciting or not. The best fights are often those in which we put no expectation.
