I think it seems that way.

Mayweather took Hattons 0, his heart, his determination and soon that was proved in the Lazcano fight where Ricky just didnt look like the same fighter at all.

Do you think Haye will have that same effect from fighting Wladimir? I think so.

    Pretty sure it won't.

Haye had already lost before Wlad, and in more embarrassing fashion too. Not to mention he was planning on retiring anyway, and even Haye himself knew he never really had the greatest chance.

Plus he made it to the final bell and took a few decent shots when almost everyone was predicting Wlad to blow him out.

Haye wont get fat like Hatton..but he will probably become another shitty TV personality like Ricky is trying to do and likely have better success. The dreams of Hollywood are probably over now, his failure to live up to the hype made him and HBO look really bad in the US

I doubt Haye had his heart broke by Wlad last night, he would still beat a lot of the fighters out there. But it would be hard to sell fighting anyone else as anything other than a backward step. He will only get respect again by beating a Klitschko and now he knows from first hand experience what a tall order that is.

The cynic inside me says that if you had offered Haye this result 5 years ago- a massive payday against the HWC on worldwide PPV - he would have taken it hands down. No one cared about Haye when he was a cruiserweight. But even though he sold the fight well even his fans admit he went way over the top with all the trash talk, so he's going to get a lot of stick back in the UK.

He shot himself in the foot (wink wink) with all the retirement talk and vulgar insults over the last few years. he would have a lot more options if he had just kept his mouth shut, but he's burnt his bridges now and will probably just fade away into mediocrity
