So is Wlads Power Overated?

    seeing as he couldn't knockout or even hurt china chinned Haye. I thought he was going to get ko'd by the 1st jab or in the 1st couple of rounds:deal

    Vlad's power is indeed over-rated. He's a bum.
    The KGB may be able to grow bums in a steroid vat, but afterwards, they still remain bums.
    Someone mentioned that the next generation will be merged with Lennox Lewis DNA to offset some of the Bum factor from the test tube babies.

    Wlad never hit Haye with anything big last night, as he was scare Haye would land a "Hayemaker".

    Wlad can definitely bang, but yeah it's overrated... the reason he has so many KO's is mainly due to the fact that he fights guys that stand right in front of him with limited/no head movement.

    That being said Haye's power at Heavyweight is even more overrated, he has yet to score a real legit KO at this weight.

    Wlad's main power was not a one punch power (though, he has a strong punch, if it lands really well). His power comes from constant mounting of destruction of his. In top level Wlad didn't show much one shot knockouts. Even his KO's showed up in the late rounds, one his opponents were beaten up already.

    dude I doubt his power is overrated man with this ko ratio, it was more of Haye's defensive ability than anything else.

    Both fighters proved their chins in my opinion. Both great fighters, Wlad great HW, Haye great cruiserweight. :happy

    No his power is clearly very impressive. He just rarely ever uses it anymore, unless the opponent has completely given in and is no longer any kind of threat.

    He did hit Haye with one good flush punch but even then he pulled the punch and didn't put full force behind it.

    It wasn't that both fighters power was overrated or their chins were underrated, it's that both fighters defense was underrated.

    They both had a very hard time funding their opponents, when in range and throwing.

    Wlad is a banger...and had the power to KO Haye easily..he just never landed one of those shots thats all.

    I agree. I've read some comments that said Wlad is declining, because he only landed 26% of his shots. However, Haye is supposed to be the slicker, faster fighter, and he only landed 25% of his shots.

    So yes, the defense by both fighters was good. I was particularly impressed with Haye's hand speed, and how Wladimir was able to just totally neutralize Haye's offense, most of that due to Wladimir's great footwork.
