If this guy gets there beating no one great at their primes and getting this Treatment at his prime and his very best reign Sure Wlad will be one. not to mention Wlad is going to make more defences than Lennox.

    :D

My top 15 is pretty solid, and I have an idea of 16-20....everyone after that is a mess, though if pushed I could tell you who I think is greater than who, but in terms of a top 30....I couldn't post one at the mo' without making myself irate

If that guy's number 1 why can't Wlad be the best ever?

Umm a little different unless you think Ali was bang in his prime against Holmes...

    Don't make me laugh!

Whoever won last nights fight was never going to get that acclaim!

Wlad needs to fight his brother before even a whimper of that talk...

Might be considered an ATG but what hurts him is the fact he hasn't beat another top HW. Which is not really his fault. Since the golden HW era of the 70s, you had one man dominate a weak division, it's just that wlads relatively faced the weakest division.

Even in the 80s the opposition for Holmes and Tyson was much better than the Tony thompsons and chambers we have today. Even a puffed up old and fat toney has held his own in this era. 90s you had Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield and bowe. And old Holyfield probably would've beaten valuev if it was held outside Germany.

In this era the only excitement we could have expected would have been from wlad vs vitali and that will never happen.

Overall if you wanted to make wlad an ATG you could but he would be ranked right near the bottom of any ATG list. Not entirely his fault as the opposition have not really faced up or even existed.

    I say yes.

Wlad's biggest problem is the poor quality of opposition. If Wlad was in a stronger era he would improve to match the quality of opposition. Wlad doesn't need to be any better than he is. He beats the likes of Haye, Ibragimov and Chagaev easily...and they are the best competition. Wlad can only beat the men put in front of him.

I was thinking about this earlier and Haye is meant to be a big win for Wlad. But is it even as good as Lennox's win over Tua? And Tua is nowhere near being Lewis' best win.

I think so...but its not his fault there arent any big names for him to add to his resume. Both Klitschkos have shown great longtivity like Lewis.

Lewis never really got any ATG wins in his career...Holyfield ranks as his biggest and Tyson was shot to pieces. What really makes Lewis is his consistency over a long period vs good (A-&B level) HWs like Ruddock, Golota, Mercer, Tua, Morrison etc. He did suffer 2 pretty bad losses.

Wlad has had lesser A- & B level fighters compared to what was around for Lewis in the 90s and similarly to Lewis suffered a couple of bad losses.

Vitali's resume maybe a tad below Wlad in terms of wins but he never suffered any bad defeats and has shown great Longtivity. Few would argue hes the better H2h fighter.

I think both will end up top 20 or maybe even 15 on some lists.
