    I'm talking overall intelligence, not ring smarts or ability to make money.

    Has there ever been a prominent Ivy League fighter for example?

    Obviously it's Wlad and his PHD or whatever that got me thinking about this, although I don't know enough about him to suggest he should be considered for this admittedly irrelevant honour.

    So, which boxer in boxing history do you regard as having the greatest intellect?

    Could be the "Matinee Idol", Bobby Czyz who is a member of Mensa, the eminent global organization for people who have scored in the highest verifiable 2% of takers of specified IQ tests.

    They're probably two of the most intelligent inside of the ring, but I don't agree if you're talking about general intellect.

    EDIT: Apparently JMM is an accountant, so maybe. Never knew that either.

    Barrera was at college becoming a lawyer but he gave it up to concentrate on being a pro.
    There's every chance he'll finish the degree and end up practising once retired
