Do you think Wladamir was right to bemoan Haye's caution?

Wlad was winning the fight. The onus was on Haye to take the initiative, which he didn't.

 

I've posted a couple of things on this topic today, and I have to say I disagree with Wlad here.

Here's my take from another thread to save retyping:

The thing is, most opponents moan about negative opposition who either run away all fight or just cover up and don't throw shots. They need the other fighter to open up so that they can get their openings and get their own punches off. However, for large portions last night Haye was either stood in front of Wlad with his hands down by his waist with his face sticking out, or lunging in with wild punches and falling off balance.

Both of these should have provided Wlad with the exact offensive opportunities he was complaining about not getting.

 

Vlad held on like a ***** in round 12, to say Haye never hurt him is a lie, but Haye needed to go for the kill from round 9 onwards, if he fought the last 4 rounds like he did round 12 he might have got Ko'ed or Ko'ed vlad

 

I couldnt agree more.... Lets not foget through all the build up Wlad was running his mouth saying he would knock out Haye......... He didnt.....
I think Haye was wrong in the build up to this fight but if he was humble all the way through this people would be raveing how a cruiserweight nearly knocked out Wlad in the 3rd and 12th. Instead he will get cut up instead by the fans for taking the best heavyweight in the world 12 rounds and didnt get busted up like his previous opponents enough said.

Wlad fought the way he always does, Haye just talked up a **** storm and failed to back it up.

 

Considering Haye has said for 3 years how boring the Klits are and how he's going to bring excitement to the HW division then you'd have to say Wlad is right to call Haye out on his supposed entertainment factor.

 

I completely agree with what you're saying, but that's not the point we're discussing here.

The point here is that Wlad blamed Haye's 'negativity' as the reason he was unable to get his 50th knockout. However, Haye spent a lot of time within Wlad's punching range his hands down by his waist, but Wlad did not capitalise. Also Haye was left resorting to diving in completely recklessly and leaving himself open and off balance, but Wlad did not take advantage.

 

i think it was a little STUPID to say **** like this below for 3 years and not expect anything in return when he failed to come close to doing anything close to what he said :deal
