    There was a time that winning every round, being the effective aggressor and completely dominating the #1 contender in the world was considered great.

    I guess these days people want to see a video game or movie with lots of explosions, CGI and tits. RIP real boxing fans.

    I had expected more from both fighters but especially from Haye. I can not blame wlad that much for not taking risks in an attempt to KO haye when he visibly had the fight in the pocket. Yeah I hoped and also believed he would ko haye beforehand and he didnt deliver. But I also hoped and believed Haye would engage a little more to make this an enticing fight. I couldnt foresee haye was content with lasting the distance.

    Its hard for taller guys to go for the body, Haye fights very low, and his hands were always down while he was moving. I guess if he would have tried a rope and dope with his hands up, Wlad would have tried it. But in general, I only seen Vitali go for body punches, Wlad is normally a head hunter.

    Wlad clearly won, but he was not dominating Haye at all.

    I thought boxing was Hit and don't get Hit

    By definition that would make a fighter cautious....

    Now, taking chances and getting reckless. Thats what somebody would do if
    -they are an underdog
    -they are fighting away from home
    -they are down on points
    -they are being outboxed

    who should have taken more chances?? The guy winning the fight? Or the guy who embarrassed himself?

    So, a complete shutout on the scorecard is not a domination? Haye refused to engage, thus was not koed. He only pushed in the 12th, witch was the most exited round for me, but once Wlad attached he ran again.

    Wlad didn't attempt to throw any combos or anything like he does against bigger men. He had Haye cornered, and he couldn't throw any combos. Not a double left hook to head body, body head, jab-left hook-jab, jab-left hook right hand, jab-right hand to the body, jab to chest if stomach, double left rights...nothing!

    The scorecards showed a shutout, but that's about it. I didn't see Wlad dominate at all.

    I think it was revealling that even though Wlad was winning comfortably, Emmanuel Steward was berating him for not letting his punches go. Wlad is very effective but quite frustrating to watch as you always feel he could offer more.

    true he would have to reach with his bodypunches to get at mobile smaller guy like haye. basically an unnecessary risk for guy like wlad.
