watch this legendary fight often , **** lyle come close very close . foremans chin the best on any heavy i've ever seen yet lyle decked him twice in a round . still look at the people in the crowd and wonder if they still think today that they were blessed to see the best fight in heavys outside world championship fights.

Thanks for this. I lost faith in the heavies again today. But this made me hopefully. It used to be the biggest prize in sport. Now it is a circus side show. When a 7 foot tall Russian with zero skill can win the HW title then something is wrong. Vitaly would be a champ in any era but Wlad is another guy I'm not sold on. Holyfield, Tyson and Lennox would have bashed him. Bowe, ruddock and even mercer and Morrison would have taken him I reckon. It's no ones fault really. I hate how the Americans have abandoned the division. They could be the best again but make too much money in football and baseball etc. Roach needs to take a HW prospect and turn him into a giant Pac

damn George always looked like he was out on his feet but would find strength from somewhere!

Lyle was coming off a win over Shavers and went on to beat Bugner after this fight. He was unlucky to not win a world title to be honest

One of the best fights I've seen at heavy. A true classic shoot out. Both had a tonne of heart & power. Once again it shows you can shine even in defeat as long as you give it ya all in the ring.
