Do you think Wladamir was right to bemoan Haye's caution?

No. Haye should of took more risks but Vlad should of done more with all the physical advantages he had.

i got the point....but regardless of how wlad acted and or reacted in the ring...that doesnt discount everything that haye has said what he was going to do in the ring....

The whole build up was based around trying to make Wlad lose his cool and fight differently. Same goes for the hands down and taunts, all an attempt to make Wlad lose his cool and fight differently.

Wlad did the right thing and saw it through to the end fighting how he always does, low risk.

Wlad never at any point promised anything different, Haye did and failed.

It's funny how you don't realise the disservice you are doing to Wladimir's performance when you talk like this. The reason Haye did what he did last night is because that's all that Wladimir would allow him to do. Wladimir dominated pretty much the entire fight with great ring generalship and defence.

The way he cut the ring off behind his jab meant that Haye was almost always pushed back on the defensive and not in position to mount any real offence. When Haye did manage to slip inside a jab or hook Wlad would step back away from Haye's attack, leaving him off balance and out of position.

Instead of praising Wlad for the way he was able to neutralise Haye's speed, you seem to imply that Haye basically turned up and ran away from Wlad for 12 rounds. If this is how you saw the fight then I don't know what you was smoking.

i guess i wasnt going to praise wlads ring generalship because i excpected that , it was a given in my brain....should have been more specific by saying he should have let his hands gone more and be more aggressive when he actually had haye cut off....and its very possible i saw the fight much like you said i did....but i expected more of him trying to take hayes head off....but he wasnt going to let emotion alter his plan.....

Wlad fought more cautiously than Haye. But Haye barely fought at all. Neither guy was willing to become a KO victim of the other. That was the death of the fight.

Bang on. Before the fight I said it was Wlad's to lose. the only way he would lose would be to make a mistake, and that's the way it proved.

Wlad fought safely to win, and haye couldn't force Wlad to make a mistake.

    Pretty simple really.

On the caution side, Haye talked the most ****, so deserves to get called on it.

However, Wlad fights cautiously in every fight, where he is routinely the bigger man by some margin. Haye was significantly outweighed.

I can't imagine how Wlad would fight if he fought somebody bigger, stronger, and with a better punch than him. His entire style (perfectly mastered I might add), is based on him having physical superiority in every aspect.

What is disappointing, is there is nobody good enough to force him to have change that one tiny bit during a fight.

I think Wlad did try more than you are sayhing he did.

It was just that Haye's defensive moveemnt was very quick and he moved well at the waist, and reminded me of slick, prime Chris Byrd. Amazingly effective defense from Haye.

Wlad did make attempts to nail him, but Haye was too fast and moved too well to catch very many times.

This was simply a fight between two fast boxers. The one with the longer reach won. Pretty easy to explain. What I got out of this fight fight is that Wlad is not fragile either in mind or chin, but Haye certainly was afraid and fought like it.

We do realize Haye had the longer reach coming in? Haye is a coward. Nothing else to see. If he didn't run all night he would have been brutally KO'ed.

haye was cautious and didnt counter cuz wlad didnt throw anything to counter much!.

wlad held the head constantly and pulled down haye loads.

when haye flopped, that was cuz of his inability due to his toe injury.

haye should have risked more, got in close, thrown 2 punches straight and hard when wlad was close enough.

Haye has a longer reach. Haye 26 inch arm length, Wlad 25.
