The part where David had to make his way through the lagered-up lads was fantastic, probably the highlight of the event.

But, all of that stuff in the back was over-Americanised, just pathetic.

I didn't think they were bad. If Haye hadn't made everyone wait, I woulda had no problem with them at all. There's room for both types of ring walks, normal ones and over-the-top ones.

Hamed, I never liked that cockaroach.
For all I know he snitched on my boy Berrera.
In this world, all I have are my balls, and my word.
    I never liked that Cockaroach.

That entrance sux and only appeals to gays.
The best modern day entrance is Bernard Hopkins - Pascal. That custom "My Way" song puts the crappy ass rap **** to shame. :yep

I wonder if the thread title is implying Haye developed corns on his pinky toe walking to the ring?

As far as over-Americanized: go watch Hamed or Eubank and some of the over-the-top ring Brit entrances of those days. Makes American showmanship look like silent movies.

Agree mate. Rap music should be taken into the ring and have the **** beat out of it. Starting with M&M.

I liked them tbh. The all around production of the event was spectacular.

By the time the prefight festivities was over, Haye's xylocaine was wearing off...he shoulda gotten permission to inject it between rounds.

Larry Holmes used it for most of his fights from 1978 on. I agree great song and I liked Haye's entrance. Better than the typical **** we get on HBO with the commentators talking and stuff. I like long ring walks kinda builds up the tension for the fight.

It would have been the worst part of the night, but then we had the fight itself.
