No I am not floyd nuthugger and not a floyd hater:patsch He just does it best.

If you like two guys just going into a war, then I respect that, but you should also respect that not every fighter (the most of them) does that. Not everyone is a Gatti. Besides, this is boxing not streetfighting.

This is and will always be an opinion, when will some guys learn this! Some like wars, some like clinics/technical fights. Floyd style is just like in Olympic/amateur boxing; moving and scoring.

If you think floyd is a runner then you definately don't like Olympic/amateur boxing.

Lesson #1: Boxing is about hit and not getting hit. Yep exactly, what gatti (in most of his fights) did/does is nice but not boxing.
NB. not to take anything away from arturo, big fan of him.

You better go watch UFC or K1 if you don't like to watch floyd:hey

Yet he's a noted resume mark for all fighters who beat him all the way up to the Floyd thrashing.

The honest truth, is that Gatti was in the wrong sport. Gatti practiced the ancient combat sport of "Bietmiup", which is a style of combat where you try to make your opponent not be able to punch by hitting his hands as hard as you can with the tough bones of your skull. After their hands are broken and they are unable to punch, then you go in for the kill using your own fists!

Another technique of this style of fighting is bleeding on your opponent hoping that it might get in their eyes to impare their vision, or gross them out to give you a momentary edge when they might be puking.

ITs a risky style, but it pays off for some!

As for the original post, the only people that call Mayweather a runner are people that don't know anything about boxing. Plain and simple.

I've heard dumb shits saying that Mayweather ran in the Corrales fight for gods sake! Can you believe it? One of his most impressive knockout victories, in a fight where he was .... running the entire time! Then the same guys actually have the nerve "IF Mayweather had just fought like a man toe to toe with Corrales he would have got knocked the **** out!"

And they say this like they've just enlightened you, like you didn't know anything about anything before, but after they told you, you now know EVERYTHING. Grrr... STUPID MOTHER****ERS!

The only thing that annoys me more than the 'running' comment, is people saying that Floyd is just an ameteur boxer... I've even heard Emanuel Steward say it during the commentary on one of Floyd's (don't remember which though, anyone else?). Floyd as occasionally just not engaged, only trying to score points to win, not putting any power on them, but never for more than a couple of rounds. And as I understand it, Floyd has only done this when his hand was hurt, such as in the later parts of the Baldomir fight!

Gatti would have been a great bareknuckle boxer under the old london prize fighting rules :nod

you could quit the act, on the post fight interview floyd HIMSELF said he thought his last 2 fights were boring and dull thats why he had to make up for it with a knockout.
