Should Haye go stateside or Retire?

I think he should stay fighting for another couple of years. 4-5 more fights against the likes of Arreola, Povetkin, Adamek, Helenius etc. By then he should still have more or less all his physical attributes but far more experience at heavy, but Wlad will be that much older and maybe even retired. He can still achieve his dream of being undisputed Heavyweigt champ.

 

David has never proved that inside the ring. Unfortunately beating Monte Barrett, Audley Harrison, and Valuev by majority decision isnt much of a resume.

Let him fight Eddie Chambers, Helenius, Povetkin, Thompson, Adamek, Solis, Mike Perez. Anyone with a pulse for just once that would be nice! Even Haye found an old washed up paper champion who wasnt too good to beat in Valuev, which he barely won anyway.

 

No matter what he does I'll never watch him fight again.

 

The dude showed he has a slick defense, but his offense is way, way limited. Pity Steward is on Wlads side he could of created a monster. Someone like Moorer or the Spinks would be great as trainer or assist. trainer, Booth can only take him so far.

I don't think that Haye should retire. He should get his ass back in the gym and try to work his way up the ladder.

With a little bit of discipline inside and outside the ring, Haye could definitely earn another title shot. A trainer like Moorer would be excellent in refining his offense.

Another thing people talked about was Haye working a bit on the southpaw stance. With his natural athleticism and incredible speed and mobility he could potentially learn the craft from the other angle, making him an even bigger force.
The guy is just 30, young by any measure.

Wlad probably will only fight till he's 38 since it looks like Vitali will reitre next year and Wlad can p/u the WBC in 2013. Haye would be 33 at that time, and if Wlad retired in 2014, the belts would be scattered and Haye could really make some noise at that time.

 

Why should he retire he's at his peak, all this retirement bollocks when theres so much money to make.

I think a fight in the States between one of our (few) legit Heavyweight contenders would be great. A fight with Arreola, Chambers, or Thompson would interest me. Haye can still make another go of it if he wants...

 

He can't retire yet. His retirement was riding on him having a legacy that could give him a career outside of boxing, in action films and so on. That's not going to happen while he's known as the poorly toe guy. He needs to redeem himself.

After the Valuev snozefest, Audley Harrison PPV, The Klitschko disgrace, and listening to that ****** whine about his hurt little pinky toe. It has been years since Haye has done anything 'exciting" beside talk ****, which now that talk has backfired on him. Haye is looking like a ****ing moron right now after how he fought, compared to his prefight antics and boasting.
