Hey all, Paul 'Showtime' Fleming makes his USA pro-debut this Sunday (Saturday night in the US) on the undercard of the Brandon Rios vs. Urbano Antillon WBA World Lightweight title card from the Home Depot Centre in Carson, California. Check Paul's interview out after his workout at the Top Rank media day (link attached - http://www.toprank.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?catid=5808&id=779263) For everyone's reference also, Paul is highlighted this Sunday morning on 'The Wide World of Sports' (9.00am - 11.00am) in a feature interview recorded the other week with Tim Sheridan. A great profile piece for Australia's brightest young prospect. I'm sure I speak for all wishing Paul every success with his Top Rank USA debut this Sunday. Please note, Paul's bout can be seen live on the Top Rank website this Sunday also - www.toprank.com
Will be watching on Top Ranks site this sunday. Good to see an Aussie signed to the worlds top promoter Top Rank.
Paul spoke well and seems like a good guy. Nice to see how enthusiastic he is about his U.S debut, best of luck to him there. Great work on his team getting all the media stuff as well as these fights lined up for him.
Good to see his taking the hard route and is heading to the US so soon, best of luck! He will do our country proud!
Fleming has talent but lacks genuine power and im suspicious how he is going to handle going 10 to 12 rds when he needs to. Great that he has landed a fight over there, hopefully he impresses and his team keep him on u.s. cards so he develops properly.
His power is fine and comes from timing. He's not a KO artist per say. Knocking middleweights out in sparring doesn't constitute power in your opinion? His hands are more than fine.
BoxRec shows Fleming's opponent is 25yr old Willie Villanueva 10-3-0. Paul should get the chocolates here. Good exposure for Fleming on a great card.
Fleming's main attribute is his guts...that's what shone through to me when I used to watch him fight in the amateurs up here in NQ...
**** mate..I couldn't tell ya without googlin' it or somthin'...I do know he started with the League up in NQ as a young kid then switched to the Association later on..must been in his late teens by then...not too sure exactly...obviously a good move by him anyway...I do know he's a mad kunt...a good kunt but..
