Wlad vs Marciano

wlad beats most of the old timers..get real hate all you want but its the truth...

 

A more sensible question would be marciano or steve cunningham, cos thats who would be his biggest rival if he was competing today.
Steve cunnigham is bigger than most of rocky's opponents.
The biggest opponent marciano fought as champion weighed 205lb and was 5'11". It's quite a leap to facing a 6'7" 247lb wlad.

 

Marciano wouldn't be able to touch Wlad. This would be a beatdown, not even a fair fight

 

I give Marciano a good chance at beating Wlad. Marciano was only about a 185 pounds but would be the hardest puncher Wlad would have ever faced.

Take Bobby Hull for instance, 5'11 190 pounds hardest slap shot all time 118 mph. Micky Matntle was 5'11 190 pounds furthest home run all time, well over 600 feet. So to say Marciano did not hit hard as some of the bigger heavyweights based on his size might be wrong. Wlad losing to Marciano is not such a bad thing to me, I rate Marciano very high in hth match ups.

 

We will never find out what Rocky would have been like today..

 

Marciano would walk through Haye's biggest punches as Wlad should have but could not for whatever reason.

He would eat Haye alive and spit out very little.

The fact that Wlad could not put Haye away is enough to say that he dominates Wlad. Sure Wlad is big, but he can't fight. The Rock gets in close and pummels that Soviet ass.

 

Marciano had top-notch defense which allowed him to get inside in every single fight he fought:

Watch how easily Marciano gets inside on Joe Louis, who at age 37 was still better than prime Wlad. The video starts with round 4, Louis' best round, but he fails to land anything flush on Marciano:

Marciano, unlike Haye, would be unafraid to push forward and stay on the inside, where his small arms would give him a power advantage.

 

Wlad beats any champion before the 70's

 

Marciano hits harder than Sanders, who beat Wlad in 4 minutes.

Also, Marciano hits harder than Wlad himself. Wlad has an 83% KO average, compared to Marciano's 88% (the highest in the history of HW boxing).

As for stamina, there is no comparison. Watch Marciano's 15-round brawl with Ezzard Charles, and you'll see him throwing punches in the last round as if it were the first. Wlad suffered 2 stamina KOs at the hands of Brewster and Puritty.

 

wlads best win is haye a half decent heavyweight Even though he won handily, Klitschko still looked shaky and vulnerable in spots.I was more convinced than ever that Wladimir would be in serious trouble against any elite heavyweight from the past 50 years.wlad would be a tough fight for them but he wouldn't win

Wlad by being much, much bigger and the more technical Boxer. I wouldn't rule out a Marciano KO though.
