The UFC have a clear pay structure. The only people who break away from it are established champions/big names like Chuck, Couture, Tito, Silva, GSP, Lesnar etc

I can't agree with you on that, just look at Cruz payday. It's not a clear pay structure, at least if you see one explain it to me cause I really don't see it !

It is his first UFC fight. His salary will go up for the next fight. If you win, your salary keeps going up. If you win, you double your money. I think his salary will now be doubled for his next fight.

The UFC pay structure is for winners who come to fight. Any winner who comes to fight like Liddell, Couture etc will leave with very good money. They'll get a good basic, win bonus, ko bonus, sub bonus, fotn bonus, big sponsorship and even a % of the PPV if you bring in the buys like GSP, Lesnar, Liddell and Couture.

Yeah I havn't seen that in that way....for Cruz first fight in the UFC...

I hope it's gonna increase for him for his next fight, If it's not the case, then I give up and I really don't understand the salary structure in the UFC

His pay will definitely increase in his next fight.

He was put on a PPV as a main event. New division, new faces. They had to put a strong card around them. That costs money. Don't forget that main event status bumps up your sponsorship and credit to Cruz and Faber, they both went home with a $75k bonus.

Plus they give locker room bonuses which I've never fully understood i.e. how much do they give, is Dana walking round with a **** load of cash to throw at fighters etc

The problem I have with all those bonus and sponsor money is that it's not guaranted to them.

And the other thing I'm wondering is how much training camp/sparring partner and all the expense cost to each fighter.

If I was a fighter I would want to be able to pay for everything only with my guaranted money, but that's just me... !

Unless they've already blown through Jenna's porn money, I don't think money is ever an issue with Tito.

I'm not being funny but they are still getting paid enough to live on. Unless you are at the very bottom of MMA you can make a good wage. If you are at the bottom then either you work your way up or its not the sport for you. If you are at the bottom of football for example then you are going to have a full time job alongside your football training.

Its the bonuses, sponsorship etc that sees these guys come in shape, come to win, come to fight, come to end the fight etc

Look at Wlad vs Haye, they are getting paid so **** the fans. It's a disgrace. It would be okay if there was a competative architecture like in tennis or football. This would mean a bad showing against Haye ain't so bad as Wlad is forced to fight the next best contender in 3 months and 3 months after that. No one cares if Nadal or Man Utd have a bum game cos they'll be in another top game so quickly that people let it slide. In fighting, a bum fight from Wlad means that is all we might get for the whole year.

They're not together anymore. Apparently she has a pill addiction and Tito dumped her after busting her a second time.

Very true. Tito carried the UFC through the dark ages when the sport was being outlawed across the States.
