interesting , A point worth considering

Dont get me wrong man , I can appreciate skill and as bad an event as it turned out to be Wlad probably the right fight against Haye and I agree haye was doing even more back pedalling ( see i wanted haye to win but Im more than happy to admit he was ****ing apalling :D )

Just once though I'd love to see a KO worthy of a HW champ. It doesnt take away from what hes acheived but in one of these defecences against the weaker types of the division I'd be so happy to see something like the way he fought against Mercer back again.

He was still twice as exciting as his last opponent, the heavyweight saviour , according to throwing and landing statistics. So I simply wonder why of all people UK fans bring all the boring Wlad threads up when they have a fighter twice as boring to pick on, Andy Murray style. Leave Wlad alone, he's too good. Pick on all the challengers who think Wlad is too good and afraid to open up. Some ppl pack an arena with trash talk and bull**** walk. Wlad packs stadiums with his boxing.

no it's not. You are meant to win, not entertain an audience. If you dont like it, dont watch it. No doubt in another era when people appreciated skills over "entertainment value", Wlad would be one of the most famous sports stars in the world.

All the abuse thrown at boxers by people who **** around on the net all day is really starting to **** me off. Dont you think for one second, who the **** am I to say this to a boxer?

Who the **** would choose to be a boxer. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

**** it. If boxing dies, and people decide not to take it up. You can blame yourselves.

The reason to why Wlad did not steamroll Haye was because he could not.

Haye has suberp reflexes and swayed away everytime Wlad tried to do anything. Even when Wlad tried with flurries, Haye was always somewhere else. I watched the whole fight in slowmotion, and Wlad could only land five right shots throughout the whole fight, and of course a bunch of grazing jabs. People say it was not competive fail to understand how hard Wlad struggled in there.

Wlad did not want to give Haye a one shot kill-opening, so he did not put his full power behind his punshes. He was simply scared shitless to lose, and had he acted differently, that could have been the outcome.

So, to answer your question. For Wlad to fight it out for real, he needs an opponents who is not so fully elusive as Haye. Like a Chris Byrd, for instance. Wlad actually likes to give the fans a highlight KO, and is hugely sour everytime he fails to do so.

I agree with the BOXER opinion

also nobody is capable of bringing out his best

Peter came at Wlad dropped him made it a dramatic close fight and Wlad shined

Ever since then he hardly had much, his toughest fight was probably Brock who won some of the early rounds got inside and made it ugly, then Wlad who started slow pulled the switch and got him out of there after a round or two of offense

Iggy and Haye made it ugly by not engaging

Wlad realised those two were dangerous and their plan was get Wlad to come in lower his height and then spring on him for being overly aggressive

in both fights Wlad realised his foes were not doing anything to win rounds and all Wlad had to do was consitently stick out a jab and occaisonal right hand and he will win easily

as far as how he fought pre sanders and very aggressive come forward i think he stopepd doing this for 2 reasons

1- the sanders fight, underestimated the guy came in without measuring hte guy with his jab and height and paid

2- he gassed vs Brewster when he set a very high pace and worked real hard to get Brewster out of there and failed to do so and Brewster came back

Also Wlad is 35, I watched the Haye fight with my dad who has been watching boxing since the Ali and Frazier days and he said Wlad reminds him of an older champion unable to pull the trigger

Is wlad's age catching up to him?

His style isnt guns blazing like it was in the early 2000's even a guy he could pound like Chambers who doesnt really pose a KO threat he takes seriously and fights cautiously its just his style

Agreed elusive foes have given him issues in the past Byrd in the first fight was much quicker in his prime and made the distance and was difficult for Wlad to hit and flurried Wlad at times

Iggy was hard to hit and gave Wlad little openings

    Haye well we remember

Wlad was content to do what he had to vs Iggy and Haye they didnt do anything to win rounds so all Wlad had to do was jab and not over expose himself

Wlad has completley destroyed all stationary fighters who try to be offensive

he has even KO'd slower guys in survival mode

but its these elusive guys that he can barely land a power shot on who he doesnt open up on

which is funny cause everybody says Wlad has a weak chin and touts the big brawlers to KO him

when in reality its the mobile guy that gives him the most trouble and come forward predictable guy gets beaten up

That was not my impression. When I watched the fight in slowmo, he seemed every bit as elusive as Haye in there. I found that utterly weird. Maybe it can be explained by the way Haye telegraphed his hooks, but Wlad also slipped left jabs and moved away from long bodyshots Haye flashed out.

I almost started to wonder if Wlad had slipped in to some kind of trance, where he made himself to believe he was a lightweight with perfect reflexes :huh

For Haye it most have felt like he was in a nightmare. For two years he had been on about Wlad beeing robotic, stiff and predictable, but once in the ring with him, Ivan Drago was simply not possible to hit. I´d be surprised if Haye landed more than six or seven punshes during the whole fight. I could only see three that landed cleanly. Wlad moved away or along with the rest. WTF?

The one thing that will make him have a fight is worthy up and coming future hall of fame heavyweight who is better than he is, then he will have to fight to survive, I wish the U.S would produce someone great again the way they did in the past, keep them big black boys away from the American football field and get them into a boxing gym !
