I missed this fight when it happened. Just watched the reply on Showtime lastnight. If anyone is looking for a good fight, this one's worth mentioning: Boxer Puncher vs Pressure Figher, Hand Speed vs Chin, Tons of Exchanges, And a dramatic ending. I dont remember seeing or reading much on this fight, but it's definately a good one to view. I am looking forward and will not miss Rios vs Antillion.
Both fighters impressed me in this fight. Rios is a warrior for the way he came back into that after looking a bit out his depth for the first few rounds. He's such a resilient ****er. Can take a mean shot and has heart and power in abundance. I loved Acosta's handspeed, shot variety and combination punching as well tho. Was the first time I've seen him fight and I'll defo be keeping an eye on him in the future. He'd have beaten lots of people with that sort of display but Rios's style was the perfect antidote. Sick fight, reminded me of Cotto-Margarito a bit.
THat round is over rated for Acosta. It never really fazed Rios. He was Was nowhere near being finished.
