Great for Heat Magazine, but not so great for a trade paper.

 

i was kind of thinking that aswell ,felt it was bit poor i would love to got more about his training and insperiationa dna bit of trash talking ...

Guessing a few people missed the concept of the Beyond the Ropes series. Sorry u didn't like it guys but the series is supposed to be about fighters' lives outside the ring and what drives them. If you feel BN is no place for this kind of human interest angle then email Tris - I'll only write what I'm allowed and encouraged to. But sincerely disappointed u didn't all like it, although Heat magazine is a bit strong. As for Tony's training there will be a piece on that in a future Fighting Fit.

 

aint read it yet but quite like the idea of getting to know the fighters better behind the ropes:good

 

I for one actually liked the feature about his family

 

I ain't read it but maybe there was trying to capture the other side of Tony's life and personality.

 

ta for coming back mate,im not going to lose sleep over it ...just really found it a bit "out of place" but what i will say say Danny is your work is off such a high standard i dont mind the one article that i dont fancy once in a while !:good

Is it just me or does the guy in the pic look like me?! Look I've been doing this long enough now to not be crushed by criticism. I've lapped up the praise from guys on this forum in the past so I'm not about to cry when the tables are turned. Seems most people dislike the concept more than the execution and I can understand that - it is a boxing magazine - but I wanted to explore (if that doesnt sound too poncy) the real people behind the fights and trash talk. Always happy to get feedback both goid and bad.

Not read it and i dont buy it and tbh.........i aint surprised.

BUT personally......how many tedious constant repetetive questions do fighters get asked every week or month ?

Probs a heap..........

Am all about the man tbh, as a few know and others may see from ma posting.......NO HOMO ?

I wanna know how and what they does daily, not what there specifics are in the gym......to some extent.


Example being..........Uppercuts new mag.......i would love to have a Journeyman section.......with all respect............different world, real world.

Isn't that what we were told those specific features would be about though? We were informed of it before hand as far as I know, so you shouldn't really have a problem with it. I've really liked it thus far, particularly the one based on Darchinyan(even if he did viciously batter one of my heroes).

 

That's true, Tris did explain plus the title isnt subtle lol. Glad u liked Darchinyan - my fave before Bellew was probably Fury just due to the environment
