THe problem with that statement is that you can't make alot of money fighting tomato can, and you don't win alot of belts becasue tomato cans usually don't have any belts for you to win.
THe fact that Bernard Hopkins has been at the top of his sport for so long, and now in his mid 40's people want to give him a name and say he's a coward if he doesn't fight.
Only goes to prove that the thing to do is get your money because the fans don't care about you when it's said and done.

If calling Gayweather a runner is so ridiculous then why does this topic come up over and over on ESB? He wouldn't face Hatton several years ago at jr. welterweight, and only agreed to fight him at a higher weight after he saw how bad Ricky looked against Collazo. Some other guys Gayweather ducked are Margarito and Kostya Tsu, and of course you don't hear him or his ballwashing fans calling for him to face Cotto much either, do you? The only legit fighter he has beaten at their best weight class is Zab Judah. But that hardly gives him the bragging rights he claims. Instead of fighting decrepit has-beens like Oscar and Gatti he should have been disposing of the above named fighters at the proper weight classes to truly deserve the title of greatness. But he didn't face those guys did he? And he won't face Cotto either. That all adds up to being a runner. Not facing the best for fear of losing or getting your face busted up is the very definition of running. Oh, and his fights are boring duck and dodge games as well, another well-known aspect of running. This lame stlye is to be contrasted mightily with that of the dude on the giving end in my avatar.

 

I stopped reading after this and it proves you don't know what the hell you're talking about. It's been widely documented that Hattaon turned down PBF several times while PBF was at 140. The point is PBF wanted the fight back in 2005 after his win over Gatti and Hatton's win over Zoo. If anyone is to blame for the fight not happneing then at 140 it's Hatton not PBF. Know what you're talking about before popping off at the mouth dumbass.:deal
