Look flamer: i thought you said you werent reading this thread anymore? The things i said about Gayweather are true, and if you don't think so then oh ****ing well. Thats why this is a forum, you know, so people can say what they think about boxers and boxing. Just cuz you spend all day posting dozens of times on here all damn day doesnt make you any kind of expert so shut the **** up.

Mayweather ran from Hatton, a smaller fighter, who made 147 pounds.
This fight lasted 10 rounds just because of Mayweather running so much.
Against DLH, Mayweather ran like hell.

Mayweather isn't really a runner. Even when he's in safety-first mode, he generally stays in the pocket, and contents himself to take a step to the side in order to stay out of an opponent's punching range. The exception to taht was against Sosa and the Castillo rematch where he did tend to use a lot of movement. Still, it proved to be sound strategy as it limited his opponent's punching opportnities.

Having stated that...why all the hate for Gatti?

Because he tended to neglect defence in favor of going for the KO?? Because he was involved in some of the more exciting fights of the past decade? Because he got smoked by a Mayweather who likely would have smoked virtually every other good 140lb contender on the night that they fought?

I seriously wonder about some people on this forum sometime...

Listen here you stupid son of a *****! Ricky Hatton turned down PBF several times when both were at 140 fact ask anyone here and they will tell you it's true. His own dad even admited it. I will own your ass in a few hours when I post the link to the story and make you like a complete fool. The fact that you don't know this widely documented event proves you lack the knowledge to continue this discussion.

Saying Zab was best best fighter PBF ever beat is also bull****. I guess him taking on and beating a prime Chico and Castillo 2x was no challenge according to your irrational mind.

Zoo fought Hatton and PBF fought Gatti no one ducked the other dumbass. The two would have fought if Zoo had beaten Hatton.

Also PBF wanted to fight Cotto at 140 but Arum said Cotto was to green and wouldn't let him anywhere near PBF at that time. You're to easy and not in my league.:hi:

Another dumbass who doesn't have a clue. I guess he was running when he knocked Hatton the **** out??? Not to mention if no holding was involved Hatton wouldn't have stood a chance and would have been stopped in 5 rounds or less. PBF hit him almost at will with straight right hands and counter hooks. I guess he ran when landed the harder blows, more punches and outboxed Oscar at 154???

If you think watching boxers with good footwork is boring, then don't watch it.

And how can people say Mayweather is 'sinking' boxing? He is the first fighter in years to draw attention to the sport and get more people watching boxing. In that sense, all of these other boxers that you are mentioning and saying are so much better than Floyd because they get hit more than he does (Thats what you're saying!), OWE Floyd for getting them more fans to watch them.

    Kind of ironic I think!

If that's the only thing you can come up with then it's logical you are getting sick of it.

You are kind of right and I agree somehow. However if you are a smart boxer you are not going to let other guys bash your head for the fans man.
It's all about business, and that's what B-hop, Floyd, etc. are doing great. Hate it or love it.
I also don't like the calculated businessman that b-hop is. But in the end it is no amateur boxing.
