I like Haye as fighter as well look at my other posts.
Wladimir chin was better than expected, Haye under performed. However Wladimir stepped it up when Haye tried, so Wladimir was in second gear.
As said before if Haye had gone for speed not power punches he would have throw a lot more and landed a lot more. However Wladimir would simply have stepped his game up.
Haye unless he could knock Wladimir out was never going to throw enough punches to win. One style, one route to a win is all Haye had. We watched the fight because we did not know what would happen if Haye landed.

Haye could knock Wladimir out, but not with a decent punch which Haye's fans sort would be enough. He would need a perfect punch, if he landed 20-30 big right hands he may get Wladimir, he landed 5-6. The less Haye lands the more fights he will need to get lucky with Wladimir. If he had gone for speed I would expect him to landed at least double the amount of right hands. That would still leave him a 3 to 1 outsider in my mind simple because Wladimir chin is better than rummoured.

If Haye had gone for speed he would still most likely have lost by a big margin. If he fought a different style he would have been knocked out. Haye only has the stamina to fight his style of fight. That is why I feel sorry for haye when people say he was not trying rounds 6 to 11. You can not fight on an empty gas tank.

I said before if he is going to continue he needs to finish his boxing education. Which means training as a boxer not a sprinter, learning to attack. At least learn how to win rounds by throwing punches not feints. The guy has the talent but he needs to learn.

 

I agree with the OP. And I resent the implication that the moderators on ESB are a bunch of David Haye fan boy jockey riders who ban people for calling out Haye's fans after he was clearly cheated out of a dominating victory too. That is a malicious, lewd and clearly not true lie spread by the Klitschko nut huggers of ESB.
