it is basically unarguable... wlad has some of the greatest punching power of all time....... his jab, his right, his left hook all power shots... manny has said wlad is one of the hardest punchers of all time, and has amazing one punch power..

where does wlad's power rate with some of the ATG.....

Top three candidate. I'd say Foreman had more power.

But apparently if he fails to knock out his opponent in the first round his power is over-rated.

Why people always say that? I wouldn't rank foreman that high. Yes he was very Heavy handed and all of his punches were power punches but he wasn't so devastating as some people say. In terms of 1 shot power there is more viable candidates. Some say shavers were huge puncher but I fail too see his power against half decent opponent(except Norton who has a glass chin). I would Rank Wlad on par with Lewis. The most devastating puncher was... I guess Tua.
Much harder question than people think.
For example Tyson brute force power was WAAAAYYYY overrated. His power came from precision and timing\placement he hit his opponents when the where not ready to take it(could not see it coming).
Than we have Bruno who is FREAK of nature with weird Chin issue. I wouldn't say he have glass jaw but i can say that something was wrong with him and that way he freezes. Bruno has legit horse dropping power. He was the first man who wobbled tyson WITH FIRST SHOT HE LANDED!!!! I might even rank him higher than Lewis\Wlad.

Bull****! Foreman is a Vitaliesque puncher. He does not hit as hard as Lennox or Wladimir, or Shavers, or Liston. He was more an accumulative puncher.

Wlad hit's hard no doubt but there are plenty of men with equal and greater power. And we almost never see Wlad display his full power anymore.

Lewis had more power. I think Wlad hits harder than Tyson. Wlad has knocked out much better opposition than Tyson did. When Tyson stepped up his level of competition, he was more of an accumulation puncher.

If you are talking about one punch KO, pure power...Wladimir has to be up there near the top, if not at the top. It's a matter of physics... He's 6'6, 245, and he's fast for his size. You put all of that together, and you have a very hard punch.

    force = mass x acceleration

In concussive force Wladimir is far ahead of Foreman. Wladimir Probably is #1 of all the world heavyweight champions. IMO, There's three forms of knockout power.

#1: Concussive force, (Wladimir, Shavers, etc.)

#2: Fast combination power. (Tyson, Louis, etc.)

#3: Weight power. (Foreman, Vitali Klitschko, etc.)

I don't agree that Tyson's power was overrated. Even if they see it coming or not, Tyson dropped so many opponents with one shot. Fight after fight. Many were glancing blows, and they crumbled like a sack of rocks.

Tua used to be almost shockingly powerful, as well. The Ruiz slaughter being a prime example of KO power on display in spades. Moorer being clocked, as well.

Tua and Tyson are two of the hardest, in my book, but Wlad ranks pretty high, though.

Like him or not, I also think Haye ranks high on the list.
