These two lanky white boys arguably gave Lewis his hardest earned title defenses.

Who wins (assuming the exact version of each that fought Lewis), and how does it play out? :think

A little more than just a good chin, don't you think?

Mavrovic was tough as nails but he would be outworked by Vitali.

Vitali via TKO. Lewis opted to play it safe after a limited but try hard Markovic landed a pretty good right hand. That type of stuff would not deter Vitali.

Disagree. Later in the fight Marovic landed a good right hand, and Lewis opted to win on points. Prior to this shot, Lewis looked like he was trying to end things. I agree, both the Holyfield and Tua fights were playing it safe. One of the Holyfield fights was embarrassing, as Lewis hiked his cup guard up past his waist line to guard against body shots.

Mavrovic is a decent defensive boxer but he is a level below vitali. Vitali on points.

As a side note, does anyone know if mavrovic slipped into the monthly ring top ten rankings? Cheers.

Mavrovic just gave Lewis problems with his movement not his offense. Vitali gave Lewis a little problems with his offense. It would be a bigger stinker than when Lewis fought him because Vitali doesnt like to move forward as much as Lewis.

That was one of Lewises worst fights strategically. He allowed a much inferior and physically smaller guy who has mediocre boxing skills to get one the inside and land consistently on him.

Lewis could have easily kept him on the outside and simply hugged him on the inside.

This was one of Lennox' worst showings. His typical weaknesses of apathy came through. Sometimes he's standing in the ring and you know he's not really there .. he's day-dreaming of lying on the beach with a phat joint in one and a ice cold drink in the other, Raggae music blasting from the radio.

I believe Lewis would have had trouble with any guy with decent movement and if you look at Lewis career most of the guys they chose for him stood right in front of him. He never had spectacular performances against any guys with decent jabs and could move a bit. Think about it.

very good and interesting matchup :good

I pick Mavrovic mainly because he did go 12 rounds with still sharp lewis, way before Klitschko which failed to go 12 rounds with past prime Lewis so he definitely was tough as nail :toney

also another point is that Vitaly didn't fight anybody close to still past prime Lewis so he definitely is untested :wall

just because he does look spectacular against midget opposition does not convince me that he is close as good as many claims he is :naughty
