    **** he almost ripped his head off.

    someone from the lounge once said he went on holiday to vegas and decided to checkout kenny adams' gym where valero was training at the time. Valero was working on his power punches and throwing hooks one after another, he said everytime he threw a punch to the bag it literally sounded like a shotgun going off.

    That guy was an absolute born puncher. If you look at some of his punching form its not even perfect technically. He could have got even more powerful with a good trainer.

    Valero reminded me of X-Men, that head injury had a deeper story to it.

    the head injury valero had made him mentally unstable imo. continuing to take punches only made things worse. freddie roach would have been a good trainer for him if he was healthy. 27 wins, 27 KO's... we don't know how good he could have been. looking at the footage, it looks like Antillon would probably have been another 1 round demolition job if they had fought in the pros.

    dont forget antillon has a pretty good chin he took uppercuts from soto all night whos not exactly feather fisted and valero had him out with headguard on, ****ing unbelievable!

    yep, i didnt know valero hit THAT hard. valero vs rios becomes more interesting now. it would seem that rios would be made for valero. clearly nobody at 135 could go toe to toe with valero? valero was fast with the shots and they came from all sorts of angles too. i didn't think he hit that hard.. that vid has shocked me too!! :lol:

    Valero hit very hard, though Flea Man will tell you otherwise just because he had a relatively bad night against Mosquera ;)

    But most importantly, he was very dynamic. He could punch from angles, he was awkward, he wasn't straight forward. He could surprise opponents and he had the speed and explosiveness to do well up to 140lbs.

    All the valero disbelievers...I just found a goldmine. Listen to Joe Hernandez at the start of this video. He sums up exactly what I was trying to explain about Valero, that at first glance he looks a bit crude, a bit rough on the eye. But if you watch closer, you start to see the genius moments he had in him and why I always said he was an absolute fighter to the core with instincts and the sparring with Soto-Karass just backs this up nicely.

    valero looked awesome in that sparring vid. kind of reminded me of dura a little bit, could have been a great fighter i reckon
