Yes I regret what I said...I respect contendo...he's one of the best boxing managers in this country...I was copping crap from everybody about Mundine and Khoder and I took what he said personally as he was a mate....I'm worse off because I lost his friendship
Fighters don't mind having fans & the public talking about them at all Ash. It's managers with at best dubious credentials who spend their life playing Fanboy kissing another fighter's arse on boxing forums that don't like their name being mentioned.
Trout's manager Bob Spagnola has made a HUGE play in negotiations for the Trout v Mundine bout with his opposite number Khoder Nasser. He dangled out the irresistable carrot. Created media interest and expectation, and then took the carrot just out of reach again. He knows BOXA have no plan 'B' to fall back on, and that they also have very little, if any, credibility left to lose. Spagnola's got a firm hold on Khoder's nuts, and an eleventh hour capitulation by BOXA cannot be completely discounted.
