I haven't gotten to see any of his fights yet but I hear good things. He definitel needs to be developed and stop calling out Pavlik. I think I saw a quote by him saying recently that he isn't ready yet but wants to be ready when the time comes. He needs to fight some punchers like Zertuche or even a guy like Duddy who will go to war with him. These battles will maybe get him ready for a war with Pavlik. However, I don't see him fighting 12 times in a year and getting in quality work experience. Maybe 5 or 6 times against guys that can give him a little workout but fade or just fringe contenders like an Eastman. Fighting 12 bums isn't going to get him ready for the onslaught Pavlik brings into the ring.
mora because he has a recognisable name to casual boxing fans,it would be a decent payday and i think lee would win handily
Mora sucks and already is a has-been, winning the contender only gets you so far.I don't rate Lorenzo that highly, he has good power but is a bit slow and stiff.I think Lee beats Lorenzo right now - it would be a good name on his resume. I would like to see Lee fight some of Pavliks past opponents like Mc Kart or Zertuche - tough experienced fighters who would give Lee a good test
I think if Lee has a decent few fights in the next year he might be able to step it up but at the moment he is definitely not ready. No way he'll fight duddy in my opinion although Brian Peters would love to promote a bout of that calibre. Remember aswell manny stewart claimed Andy Lee would be challenging, and beating pavlik befor the end of '08 :scaredas:
Edison Miranda. He got rid of Gibbs in 1, Lee got rid of him in 10. Still though, I don't wanna c Lee against shot fighters like Eastman etc. Give him a challenge.....Miranda....McKart....Joe Greene....
Lee will be fighting again next mont(probably late next month), in Ireland. Nothing has been announced but that has been the stated plan for a while. I'd like to see him in against Ray Joval or maybe Wayne Elcock.
What would be the point in Eastman at this stage. Fair enough, if there were literally no other opponents available, but I doubt that's the case for Lee.
