shane has pop at WW..but not enough to drop tito..shane stopped turning on his punches once he got to WW...but i think tito has enough to drop shane later in the fight
I think this is because of his performance against Oscar. The skills employed in their fights were definitely those of BOXERS, but stylistically Shane is a brawler, though not an orthodox one. At his prime I think offensively he has a lot more in common with Roy Jones than with any boxer.
I think Mosley is too offensive-minded and will take too many shots. Mosley isn't as effective on the backfoot/lateral movement as guys like DLH and Hopkins. He's also smaller than them. I like Tito to rise from an early KD to win the fight.
I think it's his speed and athleticism. People see a quick-handed, kind of flashy, very athletic guy and they sometimes tend to think "pure boxer". Mosley was more of a speedy slugger than anything, or as Gil Clancy put it, a "thinking brawler".
Exactly. He doesn't have good head movement, his most effective punch seems to be that looping right that catches you right on the ear and he over commits alot on his left to the body. He is a great fighter, and very effective but 'pure boxer'....I think not :nono
Well you can thank his parents for his genetics...... This content is protected This content is protected :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
I see Mosley practically sweeping the first half of the fight. He would trade with Trinidad and since he had the faster hands and threw so many combinations he would be outlanding Tito. As the fight wore on though Tito's shots would take their toll and Mosley would be stopped late or dropped enough times to negate the lead that he built up early and get Tito the decision.
Tito by devastating beat down Mosley has never been a runner, boxer or much of a counter puncher. He always has stood toe to toe standing straight up right in front of his opponents. He has used his speed and power to hurt people at 135lbs. But prime for prime at 147lbs There is no way he could deal with the power of Trinidad. Forrest hurt Mosley pretty bad in their fights, Tito is nearly 6 feet he is all wrong for Mosley. Anyone that thinks that the power of Forrest is anywhere comparable to the power of Trinidad should be mentally examined. Anyone that stood toe to toe with Trinidad willing to exchange punches throughout a 12 round fight would seriously be doomed. Lets remember 1 thing, Trinidad had the best 12 round endurance for the power puncher that he was than anyone I've ever seen. The Tito you got in round 1 was the Tito you got in round 12, his style is 1 dimensional but he was able to throw with power and it was extremely energy efficient. Mosley's style would be something Trinidad would have loved to fight, the dude stands in front of you and there is a big disadvantage in height, I really don't see how Mosley could survive left hooks and right crosses like that. @ 147 Tito's right cross was absurd and the power that came out of his left hook was one of the most natural hook that boxing has ever seen.
