I like how the IBF implement their rules...just not it being every 9 months...if they are going to be tight with their rules i think 15 months is much more realistic & has a much bigger likelihood of less weak mandatories forced upon boxers. Even though the IBF do allow acceptions for unifying belts...their belt is nearly always 1st to be dropped after a big unification takes place over the years which isnt great. All of the sanctioning bodies have pro's & con's...normally more con's. :-( Anyhow i do agree that Trout is a step up from what Mundine has been fighting which is 1 positive. The only sanctioning body i would represent with pride is the "Ring Magazine" any other sanctioning body & i would prefer to pass mate.
Fair enough mate....I dont see too many of our current fighters fighting for the RING belt....but you never know...Geale may get a few good wins then get Martinez...hope so :good
If im being honest mate, im far too critical of every sanctioning body at different times over the years to warrant representing them.:yep Those 3 bolded words dont go.:deal
Whatever Ash.:roll::roll::roll: It's not a world title and Anthony Mundine has never been a world champion in my book and in any boxing fans book who has common sense.
I expect Darren Barker to cop an absolute hiding in October by Martinez. How much he is willing to take will depend on whether it goes 2 or 8 rounds.
In short, the WBA is a ****ing joke. The 'super' Champ is the respected fighter willing to fight anyone= big sanction returns in BIG fights.... you know, the kind of fights aired on USA PPV. Regular and Interim Titles are for also rans.. i.e Mandy. Trout. Explain it however you like, dip ****. You're blind.
If Geale & Grange had a lick of sense ( something I strongly suspect them of possessing ) then they would make this first defence and fight Mundine next for the mega money that fight would generate that way they ain't getting pressured into taking on solid fighters like Martinez for the money early in Daniels reign , unification bouts are sure to follow but getting wrecked by Martinez early doors in his reign would achive only one thing and that would be something we already know ( Geale has heart ) .
I guess I'm not that focused on the p4p in boxing...I did retract my statement on the super champ rules...but the general timeline of the superchamp means he wont fight the champ..thats my point :good
As usual you've opened your mouth first. Thought about it later, and then attempted to negotiate away what you've said. Lets have another look at your post shooter: So according to you: This content is protected ...and you are ranking it above the Super title because it conveniently suits Mundine's scenario against Trout. Mr Delusional strikes again! atsch atsch atsch
Yes Barker although a tidy boxer similar to Geale will easily be beaten by Martinez, probably by stoppage too. A similar thing would happen to Geale aswell imo.
I think a few of us have been saying this since Geale first won the belt. Mundine fight is an easy kill and good money, why **** that up by fighting bums getting no money or fighting the best (Martinez) and getting destroyed.
