Thats most likely the scenario that would have played out. I just know that Kermit had the power to hurt anyone, and when he fought Reid he believed in his power, and us. If he managed to hurt Margarito early he would have stopped him. That other things being nearly equal... I to would pick the fighter with more heart.
I once read an interview with one of Cintron's guys claiming that he gets down to about 1-2% body fat. Can you explain to me how he stayed alive during this time?
Molina did't only take his confidence imo, its also what he was doing from a tactical stand point. Cintron started out using the jab, problem is, Molina stepped upto the pocket, tried to get close to him, which made Cintron more apprehensive about putting his jab out there, because of where Molina was fighting, he did't want to give him the chance to slip inside, or outside his jab, and counter off it, so he become too tentative with it, which had him waiting too much, which allowed Molina to get off first on him. What Cintron should of been doing, was not jabbing in a predictable rhythm, and throwing Molina feints before sending the jab out, to offset Molina's timing, so he couldn't counter off of Cintron's jab, but the main thing Cintron should of done whilst doing this, was he should of started banging the right hand in after his jab, cause Molina was too preoccupied with trying to slip the jab in order to get his offense going, that he would of been a prime position for the jab. When you start jabbing, and someone has their head in motion, sometimes you can use this to your advantage, cause when you have their head in perpetual motion, you might find it hard to hit them with the jab, but you can time their rhythm for a right hand, that is why the right hand was so vital for Cintron, only because he became so reluctant, cautious throwing the jab, meaning he couldn't land it, he was never gonna be able to pin Molina down for the right hand.
Conditioner101- Just want to say thanks for letting us in on insider info. It's really interesting hearing alot of what goes on behind the scenes, and would much rather hear you talk about background info of fighters than the assumptions of some keyboard warriors.
So you simply invested money in Kermit and believed his word that he will pay you back some day ? Well its your fault then. Should have signed a contract with him and if he breaks the contract he owes you all your money back. You are a poor businessman.
it was never about the money! You have to read the entire thread to know that it was never about the money! We just need Cintron's side of the story to make a fair and impartial assessment.
No Disrespect to your argument but all that 24-0, with 22 knockouts business is creative accounting as his competition stepped up at this point and that's why his record went downhill. I don't think it made a difference who his trainers were when he fought better opponents. I do agree with your assessment of marines as idiots, however.
Of course I had a contract. This thread has nothing to do with money, and had you read the entire thread you would have known that my disdain for kermit has nothing to do with money. So make sure you have all the facts before you go making ASSumptions and passing judgement.
His competition stepped up only after he left us? The facts of that statement are Elio Ortiz, and Teddy Reid were rated top 10 in all the sanctioning bodies, and Ring Magazine. He ko'd them both. So your attempt to discredit our accomplishments is without merit. Since then the only ranked fighters he fought were Martinez, Angulo, Margarito, and Williams. The only victory he had was the close decision he managed to eek out against Angulo. Personally I think he would have been much better off had he stayed with Steward, but as already mentioned by someone else in this thread... Manny had had it with him much for the same reason I did.
haha!! i also read today that pbf would have beat lamotta and hagler. haha!! its the esb forums. there is so much **** that flies through here some days that a kohler toilet factory couldnt hold it all. bodybuilders will try to aim for 3-4 percent for a show and that would only be for a few hours and for visual vasculinity purposes only. your vital organs need four to five percent for basic survival. from the pictures i've seen of cintron, he looks no different than any other fighter striving to make weight. 6-8 percent. conditioner101 can probably answer more on this topic
es and roach do not train losers as they dont need the money. i make a point of never betting against both these guys. zab looks like a live dog at +380 but i cant go against roach. also, they are already looking at other fights, a proven sign(i.e; es was openly talking about wk's next opponent a week before the haye debacle) that they are extremely confident that zab has nothing that they cant take.
