A lot of fans say it was the Lennox fight. I disagree. He was unprepared in the Lewis fight(he took it in 2 weeks notice)

Honestly I think he looked as fast, strong, and sharp as he ever has against Arreola. I think in terms of athletic ability he probably was a little faster in his late 20's. But as far as having it all come together ...timing, skill, technique, he was at his best ever since the Peter fight. I don't see any signs of deterioration in Vitali.

He was in his physical prime against Lewis, whether he was prepared or not was another question, he was already in training before the bout, he was clearly fitter and in better Shape than Lewis, though Lewis was past it and horribly out of shape, so maybe that isn't the best yardstick to judge by.

What about the Sanders fight--->> injury. I think he lost his best years as a HW because of his injuries.

The Vitali that fouht Pete/Arreola was already missing the snap from his shots

2003 and beyond was the prime of Vitali Klitschko. Sadly he had to sit out most of his prime with an injury and now he age is beginning to show.

Also Vitali was already training for the undercard of Lewis vs Tyson II so him "not being prepared" is BS. But any excuse will do for the Klitlickers.

not for a title fight. I know Vitali is a real pro, but you can bet your ass, that he would have won the fight, if he had trained for Lewis

Personally, I think Vitali was at his absolute best AFTER the Lewis fight and before his "retirement"

After the Lewis fight, Vitali became a counterpunching machine.

 The many excuses are usually coming from Brits. The only real excuse Lewis had is that he was 37 at the time. So was Holyfield when Lewis beat him. Lewis had trained for a 12 round championship fight and looked spectacular in his previous fight against Tyson.

Vitali was indeed a late replacement who had trained for a stay-busy 10 rounder. If anyone had a legitimate excuse for not being in top shape it was Vitali not Lewis.

He was in his prime right about when a fat, past prime out of shape Lewis TKO'd him in 6 rounds.
