He wasnt shot, but Holyfield wasnt even close to what Bowe would have brought to a fight between the two.

Lol, besides the obviously similar urge to post with really good grammar, what is it that makes us alike? :think I know that I was watching very early Tyson fights in Albany before Ori was even born.

And Ori seemed to have a distinct dislike of Tyson, whereas I'm a big fan of him. And when it comes to insults, he seemed to always let 'em go easily. I don't.
I just don't see it. When it comes to actual posting styles we're a little bit similar (with the grammar and punctuality) but nothing else.

In fact, I don't recall Ori ever even showing himself to be a fan of Henry Armstrong. :tong

I've been lurking around here since 2009, without an account, while he supposedly came to the site in 2011. Nothing adds up.

I agree. He never fought Tyson, Foreman or Lewis and if he did it would definitely give us a better insight at how good he really was. Hell, even a fight with a well over the hill Larry Holmes could have told us something.

Yes, but what if Lewis wore shock-absorbing platform shoes instead? How could Bowe beat an opponent he couldn't hurt?

Lewis always beats Bowe, he doesn't allow him to get inside like Holyfield did and lands that deadly straight right almost at will.

Bowe's legacy goes down a few notches, and Lewis legacy raises a bit. I think Lewis post McCall 1 would have destroyed Bowe,

I also think Bowe at his best ( first Holyfield fight, and the cheap title defense after ) when Lewis still had some technical and balance related issues to iron out would have won.

Holyfield was not the guy he was in the early 90's and by the time he fought Holyfield he was very slowed down and while still appeared to be competitive, he was not the fighter he used to be. Tyson, Holyfield, Golota, and Tua are probably the biggest name fighters he ever fought all of which were shot to bits or far from their peak as far as conditioning and skills. He was also knocked glossy eyed onto the canvas where he could not stand straight without falling into the ref by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman, both of whom were nothing special and have a very slim chance at beating any of the great heavyweights of the past, yet they made Lennox Lewis look like a C class contender with a glass chin.

Jay you are one of the lesser educated posters on this forum and I would venture to say you have not watched boxing for very long and that is obvious from all the crap you put up here day after day. The fact is that fighters like Holyfield, Tyson, and Bowe weren't ducking and dodging fighters and when there was a fight to be made, it was made. For Lennox, it never seemed to come until the most opportune time when the other fighter still had a name but nothing else. Just a mere shadow of what they used to be - dead on the inside and physically weathered on the outside. And that was with every opponent. And is it not true that he was knocked cold by Rahman and McCall early on? Are those world beaters to you? Who else would have been cold clocked glossy eyed stumbling on the canvas in the early rounds from one punch? How many GREAT champions of the past can we say that about, in a legitimate matchup with no controversy surrounding it?

Lewis wanted nothing to do with Bowe and that is why the fight did not happen. Lewis wasn't anybody special at the time and was in no position to demand the purse split he was demanding from the champion Bowe who had won his title and only earned a 15% split of the purse, yet Lennox thinks he can come out of England having fought nobody and take a monster purse. And if you really believe that Lewis had a chance to win that fight against Bowe at that time when Bowe was at his peak, you are sadly mistaken, as Lewis would go on to get demolished by Oliver McCall.

And of course with Lewis fans, it's always the other guys fault, they were scared of Lennox, and they fought Lewis when they did because they didn't want to fight him earlier and never the other way around.

My posts are awful to you because they are full of truths and sometimes the truth hurts, especially fans who love Lennox like he's their daddy :|

And you are just a mindless racist who has no knowledge whatsoever when it comes to this sport or it's history, so why not find something else to follow? You're so far out of your element when it comes to this that once again, you are not even worth debating with. You are nothing but a racist fool.

Amateur boxing has different rules than professional boxing; it was a good stoppage under amateur boxing.
