Would Lewis have given Vitali a rematch if he lost the first one?

Let me quote myself again

I can argue you points especially "more dominant reign" quite effectively, but that's not what I was talking about. The essence of this conversation was very simple - "Who the **** got the beating in this fight". You won't argue that it was Lenox, would you?

 Are you insane? he's PUNCHING him in the face for ****'s sake! :D

Again, that happens when doctors stop fights. Fans hate fights stopped prematurely, unless it's by KO. Even then, so what? THe crowd booing proves....Vitali really won?

really?

i'd love to see that. go for it.

"the beating"?

"the beating" was received by vitali whose faced was ****ed up like he was in a train crash.

vitali did well at the "boxing" tho...winning rds (& looking very very impressive in the first 2 rds particularly) & leading on the judges scorecards when he was stopped cos of "the beating" his face had taken as lewis turned the fight into a brawl. :deal

****ing hell when will these reject Klitschko fans get it through their thick skulls? I don't mind the Klitschko's that much, but the fans are just annoying. They must live in a parallel universe.

Lewis TKO6 Vitali. The brothers both have PhD's so I'm sure they can work it out, but their fans??? Despite these deluded thoughts, it is clear for anyone to see Lennox Lewis > Vitali Klitschko in terms of h2h, resume, length of reign, greatness and entry to the hof!

Why do people give lewis **** about this. He one of the few boxers who got out of the sport at the right time instead of having them few fight too many and he gets **** for it. His heart wasn't in it, he was getting old and he had proven everything he needed to. There no point in continuing to fight, no matter how many people on the internet say otherwise.

At the end of the day he's fighting for money and he's putting his life on line every time he steps in the ring. Some of you are talking as if he owes you something, if he doesn't want to do something he doesn't have to. Lewis was the winner case closed and **** what larry merchant says he doesn't know **** hes never been in a boxing fight in his life how he can question the heart of some boxers is unbelievable.

People say Lewis got lucky. That's true to an extent cos a premature end to the fight worked in his favor since he has was gassing out.
But then again, Vitali didn't get the cut because of a illegal headbutt or elbow. It was a solid punch by Lewis. And it's not just the cut above the eye, Lewis had almost completely disfigured the left side of Vitali's face. The photos prove it.

That is what Lennox tweeted? If so he's a lying mother****er. I can post multiple interviews where he's talking about fighting Roy Jones & Tyson rematch and says that he plans on fighting for a couple more years. He also sued Don King ($385 Million) in 2005 for King preventing a Tyson rematch.

Lennox is a real warrior when it comes to fighting 190 Jones, a Zombie Tyson, and talking **** from retirement.

"In May 2005, King was sued by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lennox_Lewis"]Lennox Lewis[/ame], who wanted $385 million from the promoter, claiming King used threats to pull Tyson away from a rematch with Lewis."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_King_(boxing_promoter

Mr Burstein is acting for Mr Lewis and Lion in a $385m (£255m) US lawsuit brought by them against Mr King for allegedly persuading Mike Tyson not to enter into a contract to fight Mr Lewis.

He wanted to fight Bowe? If true, what a cherry picking c*nt. Bowe was retired for 7 years and fat.

Why would King want to cancel Lewis Tyson 2? He was not even Tyson meneger at the time.

I'm Tyson fan BTW.

There was talk of Bowe coming out of retirement in 2004 and Lewis I guess always thought there was unfinished business between them. Lewis said he'd come out of retirement just to beat Bowe and would do it for free. Though I personally don't think he'd have done it for free.

Lewis had lost his hunger by that point, he did not want to have to train hard and have to face a tough fight against a tough challenger like Vitali.

He had already made his legacy, all he really wanted were big pay days against easy opposition like Tyson and Bowe. Even the biggest Lewis fans realise his hunger had gone by this point and it was this lack of desire to challenge himself rather than Vitali himself that forced him into retirement, Vitali just happened to be the guy that presented that challenge.
