people won't look back fondly on toney in 30 years time, the bull**** fanboys will have dissapeared and all that will be left behind will be the cold hard facts.

toney is a deluded, steroid cheating disgrace. he took steroids because he is a cheat. he don't fight off a level playing field, he cheats because he knows he is not good enough without cheating. Toney has been caught cheating only twice but the glaring reality is that he will have taken steroids repeatedly but only caught twice

even in toneys prime, he was only winning life and death split decisions with the likes of dave tiberi, sosa, and johnson

hell, a prime toney could only grab a draw with sanderline williams

james toney fan boys are so sad on esb that they try and big up wins against a eurobum like jirov and against an iran barkley that had recently lost to nigel benn in one round and then lost to a shot roberto duran at middleweight, thats right - a 37 year old duran fighting at middleweight

toney then got his ass kicked by the likes of thadzi and midget griffin

toneys run of fights in the super-middleweight division is perhaps the most embarrassing and cringe-worthy run of any champion in the history of the sport.

toney may have been able to get away with his bull**** in america through the help of ring comic and hbo brainwashing, but the rest of the world are not as ignorant and blinkered when assessing toneys career

To achieve what he did despite an eating disorder and a terrible work ethic shows just how great Toney was.

Toney is already a lock to get into the hall, so that's that.

He's won major belts at Middleweight, Super Middleweight, Cruiserweight. and he's won minor belts at Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight.

Toney has been an afterthought for quite a while now and time is not going to be any kinder to him.

With all his talent, in 30 years his name will be generally relegated to 2nd tier status.

:lol:....all his best wins other than the Jirov fight happened before he started having trouble with his weight and discipline. Not that he could have achieved much more anyway.

If he wasn't scared and faced a Klitschko they would expose the true fraud he really is

Hall of Fame. So what if Joe Public remembers him or not. Those that care about the sport will.

I don't care about what he did at heavyweight, anyone who saw him and has any appreciation for boxing at all will remember him. He might not have been the absolute best fighter of the 80s-00s, but no one fought like him--I personally am glad he was around so I could experience what it was like to see true technicians like Moore or Walcott back in the day. Where are the guys like Toney now? I don't see any. A pure talent.

Toney has obviously achieved plenty and will be remembered in some shape or form. But like Roy he needs to go find something else to do before people remember him for the wrong reasons.

In 30 years, he will still be around, fatter and lispier than ever, holding a IABFOW continental title, calling out Klitschkos and slurring his speech. Right about that time BHop will break another record as the first Octogenerian to become a heavyweight champion of the world.

He might still be getting his arse kicked in the UFC in 30 years. Who could ever tell with a nutter like Toney?
