What a performance - - Technically skilled - Immense heart - Sweat Pea like upper body movement - it was good anyway - Beautiful uppercuts and hooks - Good lateral movement against a pressure fighter
Great performance. He was getting outworked in the first 5 but landing good hard shots. Great showcase of accurate power punching.
- Maybe so........against your Brandon Rios's or Maidanas of this world - He showed a good chin - got hit hard - and retaliated immediately with his own punches - Upper body weaving avoided many many punches - A lot of lateral movement - Handled the pressure well in this fight if you ask me - - Looked athletic
hes a top 10 lightweight , I train in the same gym as him....I think a Micheal Katsidis always gives him problems....but there isnt a better lead left hand in the division.....
His chin still doesn't seem solid enough for me, Rios is the champion that they're talking about him facing, and he's similar to John Murray but 2-3 Levels above in terms of talent. But hey what do I know, I lost all my Vcash betting on Burns and Cook to go over 9 rounds atsch Great fight though, looking forward to watching them both again.
says the guy who said for years Haye would bea the Klitschkos. Your opinion on anything boxing related should be laughed at.
Mitchell would have clearly whooped Katsidis had he not spent the night partying with Joe C and Ricky after the weigh in. :yep
I had him winning five-two until round 8. I was impressed with his speed and in particular his uppercuts. I knew that they'd eventually do something to Murray. His defence was also quite good - he got hit with a few powerful straight rights but he was slipping a lot - there was one bit which was basically the same as a moment in Froch vs Dirrell.
- Well if he can stay of Primrose Path and keep physically healthy - like tonight - all his abilities he showed tonight will be on display again. - Its his life outside the ring and in between fights that might scupper his career - Can't wait to see him fight again - looks really talented - Made a fan out me anyway - You gotta love boxing just for nights like this - even though they are sporadic.
Murray is a nice guy,but he's domestic level at best.Mitchell isn't world class, never has been, never will be,and to be quite honest,he was losing the fight untill the stoppage.
