That fight last night was a total borefest and with a fight like that you can not sell a fight with Cleverly on PPV. Boxing is a business of entertainment and not just about getting the W.

    1. If he had lost you certainly couldn't sell the fight

2.Why on earth would Cleverley v Bellew be on PPV?

I don't know really. Haye become pretty popular and a multi millionaire by boring the arse of the British public. He wasn't called the black Ibragimov for nothing.

Because it's a world title fight between two well known British fighters with a grudge. Degale Groves was on PPV

The win is the most important thing first and foremost, pay days will follow regardless of the manner

Why's there a question mark at the end of the sentence?

Regardless of the manner in which he won the fight, he is the British and Commonwealth Light Heavyweight Champion. Can you blame him for not wanting to get sparked like he did in the first fight?

id only say well known to boxing fans, sadly the general public wont have a clue who either of them are. the only way this could ever be considered is ppv is if it was the the co event of another world title fight.

    1) Bellew was 100% spot on the way he fought the fight. He got knocked down twice by this guy in the last fight, why risk getting knocked out? If he lost this fight he could have forgotten about the cleverley fight, so why risk trying to KO ovil again? Bellew will show us what he is capable of when he destroys Cleverley.

    2) I wish people would stop saying 'oh this was such a boring fight', 'it was a snoozefest', 'i am so dissapointed' etc. It is easy for us to sit there as viewers and expect an entertaining fight, but when you got a man facing you who is trying to box your head off, the last thing on your mind is trying to entertain the fans, you just want to make sure you win the fight.

    3) This will be PPV. If Groves Degale was PPV then this is certainly PPV worthy. Unlike that fight, this will be a world title fight.

    4) Tony Bellew will show everyone what he can do soon enough.

there was no point in bellew putting it all on the line against a reasonably dangerous opponent in ovill. i would have done exactly the same. get the bogey man out of the way and move on. it wasnt as if it was o world title on the big stage where we would all expect him to put it all on the line and really go for it. boring is a bit strong imo, sensible is a better word to use, good luck bomber- the hard work begins now.

Tony Bellew fought the right fight against a very dangerous opponent .
Why make the job hard for yourself when you can use your boxing ability.
He kept Ovill at bay by using his skills and only a fool would think different .
Ovil could not get in distance to fight due to Bellews feints , jab and ringcraft something not seen by the public before .
Anyone here believe Cleverly would have stood and traded with Mc Kenzie with so much at stake ??
    Well done Bomber :happy:happy

Much like Degale vs Groves it will only go on PPV with a strong undercard, i.e they both aren't really PPV fights but with a strong undercard it may very well go to PPV.
