I'll answer that for you when you answer this for me first.....

If Gavin and Bellew have only had one coach/trainer in the pro ranks.... What on earth have you seen from them previous to suggest Farnell isn't bringing the best out of them?

Watch How crude Bellew was as an AM to how much he's progressed as a pro. Only Arnie has had him in-between then so what's to suggest Arnie couldn't bring the best out of him. Up until 2 fights ago, this forum had been raving about Gavin.

Most of you are just wanker's. You have never put a glove on in your lives. Frankie ****ed up with the weight which showed in his performance, granted. But now all of a sudden the greatest prospect this country has produced for a long time and most likely the greatest amatuer to ever come from these shore's is, in most of your word's " a ***** " " **** " " never rated him anyway ". Get a grip you bunch of keyboard hard case's, your a fickle bunch of wanker's that know **** all, and seen has none of you prats was in the doctor's room afterwards while both woodhouse & gavin was recieving stiches or have ever been in the ring with frankie then you would'nt know that he does'nt hit hard, because during the doctor's check up on both fighter's woodhouse openly admitted that on several occasions gavin hurt him with a number of singley landed punche's that hurt him and he thought he was gonna get stopped, 2 head shot's & 3 body shot's that to woodhouse's credit he did'nt show during the fight but admitted afterwards. So obviously you t.v boxing experts know fuk all.

    Bit of a sanctimonious **** aren't you?

Us wankers = customers....if we don't like the product that we've just bought, if it doesn't do what it says on the tin then we've got every right to moan and ****ing complain. If no one watches Gavin then he doesn't get paid, he ain't doing it for free

I'm not a big fan of Gavin but give credit where its due, he was very honest & self critical in that interview.

Its just strange how a few days before the fight he says he's finished at 140 then straight after the fight he says the opposite:think

This is the bottom line. He clearly know's he can do the weight, but is obviously not living the life of top rated, pro boxer. Then the excuses come out. He deserves a bit of stick from boxing fans if he's pissing about before fights. It's clearly affecting his performances. All this crap about "you lot have never put on a pair of boxing gloves so shut the **** up" is stupid. We have eyes and ears. As fans of the sport we can see that something is clearly going wrong.

No disrespect to Curtis Woodhouse, who's a decent British level fighter, but it's almost laughable that Gavin went to a split decision against him.

Gavin has previous with weight issues. The weight should simply not be a problem at this stage of his career. I questioned Farnell in an earlier post, but I guess there's only so much a trainer can do when working with a fighter for x amount of hours per day. It comes down to the individual. I'm sorry to say, but it appears that Gavin can't really be bothered giving his all to boxing.

One look at the bloke at the weigh in tells you he could have got down to the original limit. Fcuk knows what he's been playing at but I really hope he sorts his camp out soon.

Inactivity has a lot to do with these fighters having weight problems. There's more time inbetween fights, so more time to let themselves go or get distracted. As a result they end up training just to make weight and not getting ready for their opponent. I know it's got a lot to do with lack of tv dates and these young fighters are not gonna fight for peanuts, nor should they. But i can't over-emphasize how counter-productive inactivity is. It really stunts the growth of young fighters.

I think it says a lot that Barry McGuigan, hardly the most outspoken of commentators, ripped into Frankie's 'lifestyle choices' at the first opportunity after the fight.
