what doe you think is beter after gym work a hot shower or cold

    No, don't shower. Just go straight to the pub and have a nice cool alchoholic beverage or two. Then buy a kebab and pick a fight with someone weaker. After that, jump in a taxi and get him to drop you off near your house. Don't pay him though, you must do a runner which is why you should never get dropped out outside your front door.

    Ummmmmm.........but in all honesty just have a normal warm shower.

    Like I said, just take a normal warm shower. I think it would help the muscles relax better than perhaps jumping straight into a cold shower.

    I'd suggest trying to post this in the training section.

    You can have an ice cold bath for about 5 minutes.
    Then you have a good warm shower.
    Helps recovery, supposedly.

    A cold shower will give u pnumonia? :lol: I can categorically say that, that is a load of pish. :good

    Pnumonia is not caused by cold it is caused by: Viruses, Bacteria and other microorganisims. As long as you are not infected you'll be fine.

    Secondly: A cold shower, because you get microtears in the muscle after you train. That is why marathon runners and football (soccer) players go straight into an ice bath after either a marathon or a hard training session or a match :good!

    For a fact it is hot water. Because that makes your body recover faster. What also helps (but not directly after the training) is a sauna or a hot/warm bath.

    Cold water can only be used if your body has already cooled down.

    If your body is too hot after you finished, which you suggest, then you cooling-down wasn't properly done I think.


    I don't say these things because I think they are correct, I learned it when I studied psysical education a few years back.

    Trust me after a good workout------the colder the better---Ehhh I got this other problem when my muscles relax I get a hardon so its ice cold for me for at least 30 minutes -----dont worry about Pnemonia or Pnumonia----its "Pneumonia" thats the ******* you've got to watchout for ---All the best for the New Year ----ESB is a Great Forum...:smoke :smoke
