European athletes are better. Mexicans cannot even produce a champion in man-sized weight divisions, which is why they fight in creampuff divisions for men not even tall or heavy enough to ride rollercoasters at Disneyland. Cuban athletes are the best "Latino" athletes in my opinion. They dominate the Olympic and hold their own against European athletes. Cuba/Europe > Mexico. Athletes like Yuriorkis Gamboa and Guillrermo Rigondeaux will **** any Mexican boxer in their respective weight divisions.

Funny how you make fun of Mexicans fighting in the lower divisions then mention Guillermo and Yuriorkis, 122 and 126 fighters. Futbol, Mexico 5 Cuba 0.

I was trying to highlight the gulf in talent between the Mexicans and Cubans and there are no Mexicans in the higher weight classes for me to draw such a comparison, hence the Gamboa/Rigondeaux reference. Cubans also currently have a cruiserweight champ (Mexicans have had 0 in the history of the sport). Cubans, on a whole, have better quality fighters no comparison. They also have had countless Olympic boxing medals and hold their own against European talent.

I like Mexican boxers. While it isn't true 100% of the time they have a certain mentality, machismo or whatever you want to call it, and they go out there and give you a fight not a load of running around and holding. A few snobs aside we all watch boxing for entertainment don't we? From the champions to the guys filling undercards you can usually rely on them to put on a show for you. I'm greatful to them for making American boxing cards watchable these days.

Mexico alone has more champs than the entire European continent

Talk all the **** you want about the lower weight divisions, but facts are: the lower weight divisions are the most exciting, skilled and competitve divisions, while the higher divisions nowadays pretty much suck. :hi:

Much respect to my cuban brothers tho, i have nothing bad to say about them. But the fact remains, Mexicans-Chicanos are the most exciting to watch, and ARE keeping the sport alive. Just look at all the FOTY nominees so far :happy

    This is simple:

What would boxing be like if it had no Mexican or Mexican American fighters?

Which Mexicans train out of Mexico though? Like JMM...those are the real Mexicans. JMM doesn't need to come to America to learn ****. He keeps it 100% Mexican.
