    the blueprint is there for everyone to see. 8 times hopkins got into the ring and wasn't good enough to win the fight. analyse these 8 fights and you see why sturm had a chance of beating hopkins.

    I disagree. Sturm's best victory was against oscar. Hopkins shares that victory and bettered it with a knockout.

    From 96-02 hopkins will beat the majority of middleweights in history.

    Macklin, a fast two-handed fighter, outboxes and outfoxes Bernard. Macklin would set traps and counterpunch Hopkins all day. Sturm's conqueror would breeze to an easy UD using rapid fire, two-fisted combinations and ring generalship to confuse Hopkins and make him look at times amateurish.

    Macklin > Sturm > Hopkins.
