How happy do you think Khan is about Murray losing?

They were on a collision course a few years ago and Murray really wanted the fight, but Khan was fast tracked and put into the world scene very quickly and stepped over Murray to move up to Light-Welterweight, Murray stayed down at Domestic lightweight and cleaned up in the British and European scene, Khan always refused to give Murray any credit whatsoever and Murray was always hopeful that a fight with Khan would take place.

Since being stopped last saturday against Kevin Mitchell, it seems Murray's got a long way to climb back, it was a bad defeat to Mitchell and he was outclassed, exposed in a way.

Do you think Khan was clapping his hands with excitment? he seems a little fonder of Mitchell than he did of Murray.

In fairness, the last couple of years have shown quite a gulf in class between these two

And while Khan has gone away and improved Murray hasn't

Amazinf what a defeat can do for a fighter

I don't understand why Khan would be concerned about Murray losing or not. He's far beyond his level to affected by his status. Also, he gets on well with Mitchell, so in that regards, yes, he probably was clapping at that result. In fact, he was backing Mitchell to knock him out.

not just the gulf in class, Khan, physically, is a beast now.

he will be moving to 147 in the very near future, no way is Murray going up that far and anyway he would get embarrassed.

I don't really like Khan, but I always found his comments on Murray to have substance and be real constructive criticism, he said that Murray was hit way too easily and would come unstuck against world class opponents as he couldn't just walk forward and apply pressure like he always does.

Against Mitchell, Murray did exactly what he had done in every fight of his before, high guard, walking his man down and applying good pressure, but his style was exposed big time and the classier, better fighter just picked him apart and broke him down, Khan's defeat to Prescott, as devastating as it was, was because of a huge one punch, he wasn't dissected and outclassed by Prescott over a number of rounds like Murray was.

I honestly can't see Murray doing much more past domestic and european level, his style will stay the same and against people like Marquez, Rios etc. he would be taken out a lot earlier.

I'd be surprised if Khan even knew they were fighting!

Only joking, but on a serious note Khan is way, way above these two now. Khan was fast tracked and rightly so. I stand by this, I believe he will go on to achieve greatness!

Ooh check out Gaz showing he knows radar is an acronym. I agree though, he has other things on his mind, can't imagine him being overly concerned.

    From the scene:

"It's unfortunate that he got beat, but we offered him a lot of money at one time to take a fight and he didn't take that fight. I think that just shows what kind of class he is [with the Mitchell loss]. He's not on a world class level. He got beat up by a guy who is another domestic fighter. He was always calling me out and stuff but now he's realized that he's not even the best in his own division"
