I bet Felix would be making excuses if he was in Roys position.

If you want to even call it an excuse, he just said hes having trouble.

6 or 10 pounds who cares they are both grown men and when the bell rings the best man at this point in time will win. I can't stand when people act like a few pounds make a big difference, when they really don't just look at what toney did when he was fat against huge muscled up guys, its how good you are not a few pounds that matter.

Thats just him using a marketing ploy to even out the expectations of the fight in the minds of the fans who are paying to see it LOL

Very nice pic of Diego with his kid by the way

i can see where a fighter would use a marketing ploy but in this fight I doubt its the case ... Roy as expected is having a war with making weight

I think it really is a marketing ploy, because they have to do whatever they can to generate interest for this fight. I mean, come on. Roy is a 5-1 favorite. Most people think that Tito is going to get humiliated. I'm sure the promoters would really take a hit if this PPV doesn't sell well, because I'm sure Roy and Tito are getting pretty good purses.

I wasn't sure what to make of this when I read it (on Boxing Scene.com for the curious) If it was true - why would Roy ever admit to it? That gives Tito a bolster in confidence. Roy was supremely confident that he could make 168 lbs over the past few months. I don't know what to think of this - but I don't like it. This fight might not happen.
