i aint a big fan of slick fighters (ya'll know that), but what made it seem close is that the rounds that herman won, he won pretty clear...i gave him 4 rounds, 5 if you wanna give him a pitty round....you can say that paulie won this fight with one hand..he was jabbing and hooking all night with that left hand...something tells me his right hand was hurt, but oh well...... and SHOWTIME IS ****ING INSANE for saying that herman is the best inside fighter IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW.....what kind of ****en nonsense is that....that fool can't fight inside for ****....somebody needs to show him how to come in by cutting the ring off while jabbing, and once in, WORK FOR REALS..not be slow and sluggish.....he did land some clean right hands, but he let paulie get off the hook...if he was really a good inside fighter, he would've made paulie pay in the clinch, but the man didnt know what the **** to do in the clinch, he looked lost at times..... herman reminds me of those boxers that have a few good rounds, but take alot of them off and think they won every close fight they're in....he has to learn that boxing is a business too, and when you travel to fight out of your country, you better bring your A game and fight hungry, not coast like your winning the damn fight.....i think he fought a way better fight against castillo, but again, he also took alot of rounds off and lost a pretty close decision......
I agree, I scored it Paulie 6-5 with 1 round a 10-10 rnd. It was not robbery....Robbery is the Casamayor vs SantaCruz dec not this fight. It was a close fight but Herman did not do enough to get the victory
herman was fighting the champ he should know from the fight with castillo that he should hav put up that extra effort in those rounds that were up in the air, that being said 117-111 was a fu*in joke i had it a draw.
herman was aggressive but like de la hoya is was ineffective. and paulie that ****er abandoned his jab.
Paulie got his ass whooped plain and simple. Hrman was far more effective in the close rounds. Calling Paulies jab a pitter pat is an insult to pitter pats. Paulies punches were completely ineffective and he wasnt landing much himself. Herman was outlanding ***illagi and landing far more effective shots. He was also more aggressive and using effective aggression
Don't PLEASE ME!!! Ngoudjo got robbed. It's disgusting how they put 3 american Judges in this fight, the scores were disgusting, Ngoudjo was busier, more effective, landing more cleanly, with more power. When Malignaggi was trying to trade, he was losing, when he was running around, Ngoudjo was cutting the ring effectivly. Shitty Judges.
I think most would agree it was a close fight. A draw or a win by either man by a point is arguable. But not no ****ing 117-111. That's bull****, and smells like home cooking to me. It's funny though. Ngoudjo arguably beat Castillo and Malignaggi both, yet arguably lost to Randall Bailey.
Close fight, I thought Malignaggi edged it. Its the wide scores of two of the judges that gets people going.
People keep talking about Paulie's jab, but after the first few rounds when the pace dropped he actually landed very little. He was just flicking out nice looking punches, but they weren't landing Herman landed every shot worth mentioning over the course of the fight. He was the aggressor, he was the one looking to fight. Malignaggi fought like a ****** once he realised Herman had got his respect with a few right hands Can't believe not one of the judges scored it for Herman, although I'm not too gutted since I should have lost all my vCash
